Name of Artifact: Ruth Lilly Field Experience Reflection

Course: EDUC 240: Introduce PE/Health for Teachers

Brief Description: Throughout this paper, I will be able to see what I learned and benefited from

this field trip. This reflection will show me through the guidelines what exactly went on

throughout the time at Marian University. I will write about what I remember and took notes

about throughout the Ruth Lilly presentation. Overall, this will be a reflection from what I

learned.

Rationale: My understanding of InTASC Standard 3, Learning Environments, I have started to

reflect and develop through my reflection from the field trip. With this assignment, I will be

reflecting my experience of learning and development. As a teacher, we have to give our student

to learn environment to get the knowledge. Through support individual and collaborative

learning, I will see in all the areas that I learned from Ruth Lilly. Through learning this

assignment, I have mastered this standard through observing appropriate age groups and

challenging learning experiences.

Ruth Lilly Field Experience Reflection

It was a great opportunity to visit Marian University. I had heard about this College long

time since I graduate in high school, but I have never been there. It was my first time to visit and

meet with important people for other school and different experience of teaching. The

information was gain during the meeting is Nina Mason Pulliam Ecolab offering for K-8 Themed

STEM summer camp, boy and girls scout badge program, professional development for Pre K

8 grade teacher, and volunteer opportunities. I know the information of The Nina Mason Pulliam

Ecolab is a 55-acre wetland and lowland forest located on the North end of Marian University

campus. During my experience, this trip it helps me to understand what is the school help for our

education. First, when we went to the Marian college we got lost because the school was big for

me and I did not know where the Ecolab at is. The Ecolab also help you with many skill and

background to assist their restoration and education effort. We also use to play the competition

for guessing the important things that always relate to human in our life for be healthy and not

healthy.

The Ruth Lilly Health Education Center Serves thousands of central Indiana children and

young adult by providing inspiring health education through innovative personation that promote

and reinforce health lifestyle choices. During the meeting, a woman who was presenting the

program Ruth Lilly center offer school, it was good to heard. Both of teacher and student are

enhance health and physical education learning in Ruth Lilly Center. They also help to Enhance

both. Everything I heard and seems is too much going on that I cant explain it. For example; i

teach the biology and some word are hard to understand. Also, it all about body, animal system

and neutral thing, the only good thing in future is take student to a place that have forest so they

can learn with their hand, see, and touching in real life. Therefore, they will know more detail

and having experience with themselves in real feeling. Visit Marian college is great experience

for student, because the school is big and also forest as they will be able to explore themselves

inside school and outside school. Both are important to learning outside and inside. Everything I

see and learning Ruth Lilly center education and Ecolab is a great resource for teacher, parents,

and student to enhance learning better. It also helps me develop my ideas during the presentation.

Also, they give a great topic and important activities to all age levels and cover health and are

safety.
