Composition:
Potassium hexachloroplatinate and Cobalt chloride hexahydrate in hydrochloric acid.
The solution was manufactured gravimetrically under controlled environmental
conditions. The manufacturing, testing and distribution of this reference material meet
the requirements of the quality management norm DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

Material Handling and Storage:

Use immediately after decanting and discard after use. Store at 15 25 C. Protect
from light.

The reported uncertainty represents the expanded uncertainty (U = ku) for a
coverage probability of 95% (k=2).
Traceability and instrument qualification:
The HAZEN 500 Standard is traceable to NIST SRM 930e and has been analysed on
a high-performance UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometer within the spectral range 190 -
800 nm (monochromatic). The spectrophotometer is regularly checked for accuracy
and reproducibility of absorbance and wavelength as well as for linearity, baseline
drift, stray light and spectral resolution power. The relevant parameters for this
standard are checked on the day of lot certification.
