1. CALL TO ORDER 5:30 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve the minutes of the July 31, 2017 meeting.

3. CITIZEN INPUT Any citizen may speak for three minutes about any subject of concern
to her or him provided that the subject is not already on the agenda.
Persons wishing to address the MZAC should complete a Citizens
Input form and submit it to the MZAC Secretary prior to the meeting
being called to order.

4. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS

A. Project Update Receive a verbal update from staff on the status of items listed in
the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Recommended Uses and Projects adopted
by the City Council in the 2017-18 Budget.

REGULAR MEETING
JULY 31, 2017

1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Hopkins opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m. with Committee
members King, Speed, Rollins and Chair Hopkins present.
Committee member Wynacht was absent.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Committee member Rollins made a motion, seconded by Committee

member King and unanimously carried by voice vote to approve the
minutes of the May 24, 2017 meeting, with Committee member
Wynacht absent.

3. CITIZEN INPUT There was no input offered from the public.

4. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS

A. Brown Act Overview Secretary Buendia gave an overview on the Ralph M. Brown Act as it
relates to the Measure Z Advisory Committee

B. Government Budgeting 101 Finance Director Walker gave an introductory instruction on

government budgeting and reviewed highlights of the City of
Lakeport approved 2017-2018 budget.

C. 2017/2018 Calendar The committee reviewed 2017/2018 calendar of meetings and

agreed to meet October 23, 2017; January 22, 2018; and April 16,
2018, with meetings to take place at 5:30 p.m.

5. ADJOURN The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
