Surat AlFurqaan. 25. :

In the name of Allaah the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Tabaarakallazee nazzalalfurqaana alaa abdihi liyakoona lilaalameena nazeera. [1].
1. Be, He be blessed who sent down the Furqaan [proof/evidence] on His servant
[Muhammad SAS] so as to become a warner for the worlds .

Allazee lahu mulkussamaawaati walarzi wa lam yattaqiz waladan wa lam yakun lahu
shareekun filmulki wa qalaqa kulla shaiin faqaddarahu taqdeera. [2].
2. Who, For Him is the kingdom of the skies and the earth and, [He} never held a son and will
never become an associate for Him in the kingdom and He created all the things, so, [He} estimated
it [for all things] as it should have been estimated .

Wattaqazoo min doonihi Aalihatan laa yaqluqoona shaian wa hum yuqla qoona wa laa
yamlikoona lianfusihim zarran wa laa nafa wa laa yamli koona maowtan wa laa hayaatan
wa laa nushoora. [3]..
3. They held as Aalihatun [gods] leaving Allaah, [who] do not create, [even] a thing and
they are the created ones and they do not possess for their own self any harm and no benefit and
neither they own the death nor the life nor the emission [raising] the dead ones] .

Wa qaalallazeena kafaroo inna haazaa illaa ifkun iftaraahu wa aaanahu alaihi
qaowman aaqaroona faqad jaauu zulman wa zoora. [4].
4 And those who have rejected the Faith said, This [AlQuran] is nothing but falsehood, he
[Muhammad SAS] has fabricated and have helped him other communities, so, indeed they have
brought forward unjust and falsehood,

Wa qaaloo asaateerulawwalee'naktatabaha fahiya tumlaa alaihi bukratan wa aseela. [5].
5. And, they said, Stories of earlier [people], he has written them, so they are dictated to him
morning and evening .

Qul anzalahullazee yalamussirra fissamaawaati walarzi, innhu kaana gafoorar
raheema. [6]
6. Say, [OMuhammad SAS], He has sent it down, who knows the secrets of the skies and
the earth, certainly, He is the most Forgiver , the most Merciful .

Wa qaaloo maali haazarrasooli yaakuluttaaama wa yamshee fil aswaaqi, laow laa

anzala ilaihi malakun fayakoonu maahu nazeera. [7]..
7. And they said, What is with this messenger, eats the food and walks in the markets, why
an angel is not sent down towards him, thus he would have become a warner with him .

Aow yulqaa ilaihi kanzun aow takoonu lahu jannatun yaakulu minha, wa qaalaz
zaalimoona in tattabiuuna illa rajulan mashoora. [8]..
8. " Or a treasure would have poured on him, and a garden to be for him, [to] eat from it and the
wrong doers said, You do not follow except a man over powered by evil spirit.

Unzur kaifa zaraboo lakalamsaala fazalloo falaayastateeuuna sabeela. [9].
9.See how, they strike examples for you, so they are astrayed, thus they are not able to have a
path [right] .

Tabaarakallazee in shaaa jaala laka qairan min zaalika jannnaatin tajree min
tahtihaanhaaru wa yajal laka qusoora. [10]..
10. [He] is blessed, who, if desired, would have made for you betterment from those gardens,
springs flow beneath them and would have made for you castles .

Bal kazzaboo bissaaati wa atadnaa liman kazzaba bissaaati saeera. [11]
11. But they denied to the Hour [Doomsday] and We have prepared the Hell, for the one who
denied the Hour [Doomsday] .

Izaa raathum min makaanin baeedin samiuulaha tagaiyyuzan wa zafeera. [12].
12. When it [Hell] saw/looked at them from a far off distant place, they heared or her ragings
[in anger] and sighings .

Wa izaa ulqoo minha makaanan zaiyyiqan muqarraneena daaow hunaa lika
suboora. [13].
13. And when they were put upside down in a narrow tight place, there they shouted for
destructuin

Laa taduulyaowma subooran waahidan waduu subooran kaseera. [14].
14. Dont call once for destruction on that day, but call for destruction for many more times .

Qul azaalika qairun am jannatulquldillatee uidalmuttaqoona, kaanat lahum jazaaan
wa maseera. [15].
15. Say, [OMuhammad SAS], Is that [torment] is better or the ever lasting Heaven, which was
promised to the righteous persons, that is for them a reward and a final destination .

Lahum feeha maa yashaauuna qaalideena, kaana alaa rabbika wadan masuula. [16].

16. For them in it, will be all that which they desire, final for ever it is on your Nourisher an
asked promise .

Wa yaowma yahshuruhum wa maa yabudoona min doonillaahi fayaqoolu a antum
azlaltum ibaadee haaulaae am hum zallussabeela. [17].
17. And the Day on which He [Allaah] will gather them all together and that which they were
worshipping leaving Allaah, so He [Allaah] will say, Are you [those who] astrayed my servants,
those,, or they themselves astrayed the way .

Qaaloo subhaanaka maa kaana yanbagee lanaa an nattaqiza min doonika min aowli
yaaa laakin mattatahum wa aabaaahum hatta nasuzzikra wa kaanoo qaowman boora. [18].
18. They said, All glory be to you, It was not for us to excel, that to hold others as guardians
leaving you, but you had benefited them and their fore-fathers till they forget the remembrance [of
Allaah] and they became the wasteful community .

Fa qad kazzabookum bimaa taqooloona famaa tasta;teeuuna sarfan wa laa nasran wa
man yazlimu minkum nuziqhu azaaban kabeera. [19].
19. So, Indeed you were belied in which you say, Thus you are not able to avert [the
punishment] or get help and one who do wrong from you, We will make him taste a great
punishment .

Wa maa arsalnaa qablaka minalmursaleena illaa innahum layaaku loonattaaama wa
yamshoona filaswaaqi wa jaalnaa bazakum libazin fitnatan, a tasbiroona wa kaana
rabbuka baseera. [20].
20. And We have not sent before you, from the messengers except that they were eating the
food and walking in the markets and We made some of them a trial for some, Do you observe
patience? And your Nourisher is Well Seer .
Quoting AlBazzar, AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] source being
Salman AlFarsi, wherein he said, Dont be the first to enter the market and last to come out, as
therein are the eggs of Shaitaan and it germinates .
Quoting Abu Dawood, Al Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] source being
Umar Ibn Al Qattaab wherein he said, "One who recites the following:-
""
"Laa Ilaaha illallaahu wah'dahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul'mulku wa lahul'hamdu yuh'ee wa
yumeetu wa huwa haiyyun laa yamootu bi'yadi'hil'qair wa huwa alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer". For him
thousand thousands of good deeds will be written and thousand thousands of bad deeds will be
wiped out".
Quoting Muslim, AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] source being
AbuHuraira wherein he said, The lovely place of Allaah is the mosque and the hateful place of
Allaah is market .
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein Allaah
addressed him by saying, I Myself will put you to test and through you I will test the people
In another saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS], Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Alllah gave Muhammad
[SAS] the right to choose between of being a king or a prophet and His servant and Rasoolullaah
[SAS] chose the latter i.e. of being a prophet and His servant

Wa qaalallazeena Surat AlFurqaan

Wa qaalallazeena laa yarjoona liqaaanaa laow laa unzila alainal malaaikatu aow
naraa rabbanaa laqadistakbaroo fee anfusihim wa ataow uuutwan kabeera. [21].
21. And those who do not expect meeting with Us said, Why the angels are not sent down on
us or we would have seen our Nourisher, they regard themselves great and they became arrogant in a
great arrogance .

Yaowma yaraownalmalaaikata laa bushra yaowmaizin lilmujri meena wa
yaqooloona hijran mahjoora. [22].
22. The Day, they see the angels, no good news for the criminals [for not being righteous] on
that Day and they say, "[probably angels] Restraint a complete restraint .

Wa qadimnaa ilaa maa amiloo min amalin fajaalnaahu habaaan mansoora. [23].
23. And We turned towards which they did from their doings, So, We made it a scattered dust .

Ashaabuljannati yaowmaizin qairun mustaqarran wa ah'sanu maqeela. [24].
24. The dwellers of the Heaven, on that Day will be in a better settled place and a good nap [at
after-noon] .

Wa yaowma tashaqqaqussamaau bilgamaami wa nuzzilalmalaai katu tanzeela. [25].
25.And [on] the Day the sky will burst with clouds and the angels will be descended a decent
descending .

Almulku yaowmaizinilhaqqulirrahmaani, wa kaana yaowman alalkaafireena
aseera. [26].
26. The kingdom on that Day in truth is for Rahmaan [Allaah] and the Day on the rejectors of
Faith, a difficult .

Wa yaowma yaaz;zuzzaalimu alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaalaita nittaqiztu maarrasooli
sabeela. [27].
27. And the Day, the wrong doer bites on his hand, saying, I wish I would have held the way
with the messenger .

Yaa wailata laitanee lam attaqiz fulaanan qaleela. [28]
28. Owe, to me, I would never have held so and so, as friend ,

Laqad azallanee anizzikri bada iz jaaanee, wa kaanashshaitaanu lilinsaani qazoola. [29].

29. Indeed he astrayed me from the rememberance of [AlQuran] after that when it came to me
and the Shaitaan is for the human beings the deserter when needed.

Wa qaalarrasoolu yaa rabbee inna qaowmee ittaqizoo haazalqur aana mahjoora. [30].
30. "And the messenger said, O My Nourisher, certainly, the people of my community have
held this Quran in dereliction
Quoting Anas, AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he said, One
who learnt the Quran and kept it hanging without taking care of it, and never looked at it would
come before Allaah on the Doomsday, the Quran clinging to him, and say, O the Nourisher of the
worlds, certainly, this your servant held me abandoned, so, judge between me and him .

Wa kazaalika jaalnaa likulli nabiyyin aduwwan minalmujrimeena, wa kafaa
birabbika haadiyan wa naseera. [31].
31. Like that We have made for every prophet an enemy from the wrong doers and it is
sufficient with your Nourisher [as] a guide and helper .

Wa qaalallazaana kafaroo laow laa nuzzila alaihilquraanu jumlatan waahidatan
kazaalika linusabbita bihi fuaadauka wa rattalnaahu tarteela. [32].
32.And those who rejected the Faith said, Why the AlQuran is not sent down [revealed] upon
him, all together in one time, like that [the revelation is gradual] is to make your heart firm and We
have read it in slow recitation . .

Wa laa yaatoonaka bimasalin illa jinaaka bilhaqqi wa ahsanu tafseera. [33].
33.And they do not bring to you such examples, but We do bring to you with truth and a better
explanation .

Allazeena yuhsharoona alaa wujoohihim ilaa jahannama ulaaika sharrun makaanan
wa azallu sabeela. [34].
34.Those will be gathered on their faces towards the Hell, that is the worst place and they had
astrayed away [in] the way .

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosalkitaaba wa jaalnaa maahu aqaahu Haaroona wazeera. [35].
35.And indeed,We, gave to Moosa [AS], the Book and We made his brother Haroon [AS] a
minister with him [to help] .

Fa qulnazhabaa ilalqaowmillazeena kazzaboo biaayaatinaa, fadammar naahum
tadmeera. [36].
36, So, We said, Go you both towards the community who has denied Our signs, thus We
destroyed them a complete destruction.

Wa qaowma Noohin kazzaburrusula agraqnaahum wa jaal naahum linnaasi aayatan,
wa atadnaa lizzaalimeena azaaban aleema. [37].

37. And the community of Nooh [AS], when denied the messengers, We drowned them and We
made them a sign for the people and We have prepared for the wrong doers a painful punishment..

Wa Aadan wa Samooda wa As'haabarrassi wa quroonan baina zaalika kaseera. [38].
38.And [the community of Aad and Samood and the companions of Arrassi and many
generations in between them [were destroyed].

Wa kullan zarabnaa lahulamsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera. [39].
39. And for all, We had forwarded examples and to all We destroyed a complete destruction.

Wa laqad ataow alalqaryatillatee umtirat matarssaowe, a falam yakoonoo
yaraownaha bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushoora. [40].
40. And indeed they came on/to the town which was rained with a bad rain, so why shouldnt
they became [righteous] seeing that, but they were [that who] do not hope the Resurrection.

Wa izaa raoka in yattaqizoonaka illa huzuwa, a haazallazee baasallaahu rasoola. [41].
41. And when they see you [Muhammad SAS] they do not hold you except [for] mockery,
[saying], Is that the one [to whom] Allaah has sent [as] messenger.

In kaada layuzillunaa an aalihatinaa laow laa an sabarnaa alaiha, wa saowfa
yalamoona heena yaraownalazaaba, man azallu sabeela. [42].
42. Indeed it was near that he would have strayed us from our Elahs [gods] if we had not
observed patience on that day and very soon they will come to know when they see the punishment
as to who strayed from the way.

A raiyta manittaqaza Ilaahahu hawaahu, a faanta takoonu alaihi wakeela. [43].
43. Have you seen {OMuhammad SAS] [the one] who held his desires [as] his Elaah [god] so,
do you want to be on him [as] a protector.

Am tahsabu anna aksarahum yasmauuna aow yaqilaana, in hum illa kalanaami bal
hum azallu sabeela. [44].
44. Or do you think that many of them do listen or understand, but they are like cattles, rather
even they are most strayed [from the right] way.

A lam tara ilaa rabbika kaifa maddazzilla wa laow shaaa lajaa lahu saakinan, summa
jaalnashshamsa alaihi daleela [45].
45. Have you not seen towards your Nourisher, how He has extended the shade and if he
desired, He would have made it motion less, then We, have made the sun [as] sign on that.

Summa qabaznaahu ilainaa qabzan yaseera. [46].

46. Then We grappled it towards Us, an easy grapple.

Wa huwallazee jaalakumullaila libaasan wannaowma subaatan wa jaalannahaara
nushoora. [47].
47. And He who has made for you the night a garment and sleep a dormancy and made the day
[as] to get scattered [in search of livelihood].

Wa huwallazee arsalarreeha bushran baina yadaiy rahmatihi wa anzalnaa
minassamaaEmaaan tahoora. [48].
48. And He who sent the winds [as] good news, along with His mercy, and We, sent down from
the sky water [rain] with purity.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he said, after it rained,
Listen Allaah has said, From My servants some have become believers and some rejectors of
Allaah. Those said,"It was rained because of grace of Allaah, have become believers to Me and
rejecters of stars, and those who said, It was rained because of so and so stars, have become
believers of stars and rejecters to Me.
AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he said, Allaah will not
accept the Salaat [prayer] without having cleanliness .
In another saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS], AlQurtubi has recorded, wherein he said, The earth is
made for me a masjid [mosque for prayer] and a means to cleanliness [performing Tayammum in the
absence of water] .
Quoting Abu Huraira, AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he
said, In case a dog licked in a vessel, it should be cleaned with water for seven times.
Quoting Aayesha [Rz], AlQurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein it is
recorded that Aayesha [Rz] used to heat water under the sun, Rasoolullaah [SAS] said, Dont do it
O Humaira [name of Aayesha [Rz] as it inherit leprosy.

Linuhiya bihi baldatan maiytatan wa nusqiyahu mimma qalaqnaa anaaman wa
anaasiyya kaseera. [49].
49. So as to bring life with it the dead town and We make to drink it from that which We have
created many cattles and people".

Wa laqad sarrafnaahu bainahum liyazzakkaru, faabaa aksarun naasi illa kufoora. [50].
50, And indeed We have disposed it off/water/AlQuran amongst them so as to take advice
from it, thus many people refused to accept becoming rejecters [of grace of Allaah .

Wa laow shinaa labaasnaa fee kulli qaryatin nazeera. [51].
51. And if, We desired We would have sent in/for all the towns a warner .
Quoting Saheehain, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he said,
I am sent towards red and black [people] .
In another saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS], Ibn Kaseer has recorded, wherein he said, All the
prophets were sent towards their communities, whereas I am sent towards all communities of the
world, present and future .

" Fa laa tutiilkaafireena wa jaahidhum bihi jihaadan kabeera. [52].
52. So dont obey the infidels and struggle with them with it [AlQuran] to a great extent .

Wa huwallazee marajalbahraini haazaa azbun furaatun wa haazaa milhun ujaajun wa
jaala bainahuma barzaqan wa hijran mahjoora. [53]..
53. "And He who jumbled two seas, this is agreeable and sweet and this [the other] is salty and
bitter and He made between them partition and completely forbidden [to be mingled] .

Wa huwallazee qalaqa minalmaae basharan fajaalahu nasaban wa sihran, wa kaana
rabbuka qadeera. [54].
54. And He who created human beings from the water, then He made him to have ancestry and
marriage-relationship, and your Nourisher is capable [on all] .

Wa ya'budoona min doonillaahi maa laa yanfauhum wa laa yazurru hum, wa
kaanalkaafiru alaa rabbihi zaheera. [55].
55. And they worship, leaving Allaah, who do not benefit them and do not harm them and the
infidel is the most back shower to his Nourisher [disobeyer] .

Wa maa arsalnaaka illa mubashshiran wa nazeera. [56].
56. And, We have not sent you [O Muhammad SAS] except as conveyer of good news and a
warner.

Qul maa asalukum alaihi min ajrin illa man shaaa an yattaqiza ilaa rabbihi
sabeela. [57].
57. Say, I do not ask you any reward on that [preaching Islaam] except who ever desire that to
hold towards his Nourisher a way .

Wa tawakkal alalhaiyyillazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdihi, wa kafaa bihi
bizunoobi ibaadihi qabeera. [58].
58. And have trust on the ever-living who do not die and glorify Him with His praises and
sufficient, [He is] with it, with the sins of His servants [as] a Well Knower .

Allazee qalaqassamaawaati walarza wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati ayyaamin
summastawaa alalarshiirrahmaanu fasal bihi qabeera. [59].
59. Who created the skies and the earth and that which are in between the two, in six days,
then occupied firmly on the Arsh, [the throne of Allaah], ArRahmaan [Allaah], So, [O
Muhammad SAS] ask Him, He is the most Informed .

Wa izaa qeela lahumusjudoo lirRahmaani qaalu wa mar Rahmaanu, a nasjudu limaa
tamuruna wa zaadahum nufoora. [60]. [SAJDA].

60. And when it is said to them, Prostrate to ArRahmaan . They said, Who is
ArRahmaan?, Are we to prostrate to that which you [O Muhammad SAS] order us and it increased
to them the disinclenation {prostration] .

Tabaarakallazee jaala fissamaae buroojan wa jaala feeha siraajan wa qamaran
muneera. [61].
61. Glorified is He, who made in the sky constellation and made in it a lamp [sun] and the
moon luminous .

Wa huwallazee jaalallaila wannahaara qilfatan liman araada an yazzakkara aow
araada shukoora. [62].
62. "And He is who made the night and the day in succession for the one who intend to heed on
the advice and to be greatful [to Allaah] .

Wa ibaadurRahmaanillazeena yamshoona alalarzi haownan wa izaa qaatabahumul
jaahiloona qaaloo salaama. [63].
63.And the servants of ArRahmaan [Allaah] are those who walk on the earth, with easiness and
when the ignorents address them [in bad taste], they say Salama [peace be on ] .

Wallazeena yabeetoona lirabbihim sujjadan wa qiyaama. [64].
64.And, those who spend the night for their Nourisher, in prostration and standing [in prayer] .

Wallazeena yaqooloona rabbanaasrif annaa azaabajahannama, inna azaabaha kaana
garaama. [65].
65. And those who say, O Our Nourisher, Remove from us, the punishment of the Hell,
certainly, its punishment is a reparation .

Innaha saaat mustaqarran wa muqaama. [66].
66. Certaninly, it is bad [as] a residing [place] and staying place .

Wallazeena izaa anfaqoo lam yusrifu wa lam yaqturoo wa kaana baina zaalika
qawaama. [67].
67. And those when they spend, they never [spend] extravagantly and never [spend] miserly and
they are keeping themselves in between that [the two extremes] .

Wallazeena laa yaduuna maallaahi Ilaahab aaqara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsallatee
harramallaahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoona wa man yafal zaalika yalhaqa asaama. [68].
68. And those who do not call along with Allaah another Ilaah [god] and do not kill any one
which Allaah has forbidden except with the truth and do not commit illegal sexual intercourse and
the one [who] does that he will meet Asama [consequence of misdeeds] .

Yuzaaaf lahulazaabu yaowmalqiyaamati wa yaqlud feehi muhaana. [69].
69. " It will be doubled for him the punishment on the Doomsday, and he will dwell there for
ever in disgrace .

Illa man taaba wa aamana wa amila amalan saalihan faulaaika yubaddilul laahu
saiyyiaatihim hasanaatin wa kaanallaahu gafoorar raheema. [70].
70.Except the one who repented and accepted Faith and did righteous deeds, so those [to whom]
Allaah may change their evils into good [deeds] and Allaah is the most Forgiver, the most
Merciful .
Quoting Ibn Masood, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS\ about the
greatest sin, He said, Your making associates to Allaah . He was asked after that, he replied, Your
killing of your child in fear of feeding him/her .. He was asked after that, he replied, Your
commitment of illegal sexual intercourse with your neighbourwoman .
Quoting the sermon of Rasoolullaah [SAS] in his last pilgrimage of Hajj, it is recorded, wherein
he said, Be guarded with four sins. [1] Holding associates to Allaah, [2] Killing a person without a
valid reason, [3] To have illegal sexual relationship with a neighbours woman, [4] To commit
theft. In another
saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] Ibn Kaseer has recorded wherein he said, On the Doomsday some of
the believers wonder that some of their evil deeds are not available in their record of deeds. They
will be replied that Allaah has converted their evil deeds into good deeds .

Wa man taaba wa amila saalihan fainnahu yatoobu ilallaahi amataaba. [71].
71. And one who repented [on his evil deeds] and did virtuous deeds, then, indeed he repents to
Allaah a true repentance ,

Wallazeena laa yashhadoonazzoora wa iza marroo billagwi marroo kiraama. [72].
72."And those who do not give evidence falsely and when walk around a nonsense activity, they
walk out in a respectful way,
. Quoting Saheehain, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein he
said, Shall I infer on you about the great sins . His companions expressed their willingness to hear
that, he said, [1] Holding associates to Allaah, [2]Disobeyance to parents .till that he was sitting
taking rest with a pillow, immediately he sat attentively and said, Listen tellitng lies, telling lies
repeatedly. It is recorded that his companions' felt that it would be better if he stoped at that.

Wallazeena iza zukkiroo biaayaatirabbihim lam yaqirroo alaiha summan wa
umyaana. [73].
73.And those when advised with the signs of their Nourisher, they do not fall down on it [like]
def and blind .

Wallazeena yaqooloona rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatina qurrata
aunin wajalnaa lilmuttaqeena imaama. [74].
74.And those who say, O Our Nourisher, give us from our wives and our descendants,
coolness to eyes [pleasure] and make us leaders for the right people.

Ulaaika yujzaownalgurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yu'laqqaowna feeha tahiyyatan wa
salaama. [75].
75.Those are, they will be rewarded with highly elevated chambers because they observed
patience and they will be associated in it [Heaven] with greetings and peacefulness.

Qaalideena feeha hasunat mustaqarran wa muqaama. [76].
76. They stay therein for ever, bettered a place for settlement and for stayal .

Qul maa yabauu bikum rabbee laow laa duaaukum faqad kazzabtum fasaowfa
yakoonu lizaama. [77].
77. Say, [O Muhammad [SAS]], My Nourisher would not care to you, had there not been.your
prayers, so indeed, you [infidels] have denied it, thus very soon [torment] will become an ever
remaining [for them]
