There is - se foloseste la numarul singular pentru a arata existenta.

e.g. There is a map on the wall. (Pe perete este o harta)

There is insoteste substantive numarabile si nenumarabile la
sg.
Some = niste,ceva afirmativ
Any = niciun/nicio; vreo/niste/ceva
negativ/interogativ

e.g. Theres a man outside.

There is some coffee in the jar.
There isnt any sugar in my tea.
Is there any bread on the table?

There are - se foloseste cu substantive la nr. plural.

e.g. There are three books in my bag.
There arent any toys in this box.
