RULES FOR PARTICIPATION

1. The Quiz is open for all senior high school students (11th to 12th grade/PUC/Junior
College), undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a course run by a recognised
University in India.

2. The Quiz will be in English.

3. There is no restriction on the number of teams that may participate from a school/college.

4. Each school/college team will consist of two members and both the members should
belong to the same school/college.

5. Cross school/college teams are not allowed. For example, a team comprising of one student
from the School of Law, Christ University and one student from School of Engineering,
Christ University, despite being from the same University, will not be allowed to form a
team.

6. Registrations can be either done online or by spot registrations at the venue.

7. A nominal fee of Rs. 200 per team will be charged which is to be paid at the time of
registration.

8. A team is allowed to participate only in the zone in which they are situated. A team which
has participated in one location will not be allowed to participate at any other
region/location.

9. Students (both members of the team) must carry a valid school/college ID card or a bona
fide letter from the school/college to present at the time of registration.

10. Teams will not be allowed to participate without furnishing valid IDs of both members.

11. The prelim rounds will be a written test and top eight teams shall go onstage to compete at
the regional final. Two of the eight spots in each of the regional finals are reserved for the
highest scoring team with at least one woman member and the highest scoring high school
team.

12. Spot and online registration close one hour before the Quiz starts.
13. Teams which have registered online and who are absent from the venue at the stipulated
time, will have to re-register to participate.

14. There can be no change in the composition of the team after registration. Any change would
result in the disqualification of the team.

15. A student can participate only as part of one team.

16. In the event of any non-adherence to rules or unfair practices during the quiz the team
concerned shall be disqualified immediately.

17. Students will be responsible for their own safety and the safety of their property.

18. The rules of the Quiz can be changed by the organizers at any time.

19. All decisions made by the organisers are final.
