Reuse of Plastic Soda/Water Bottles

In 2007 issue of the journal Practical Gastroenterology, experts pointed out that
commercial bottled water and Soda manufacturers dont recommend that
consumers reuse their disposable bottles.

Thats because every day wear and tear from repeated washings and reuse can
lead to physical breakdown of the plastic, such as visible thinning or cracks.
Bacteria can harbor in the cracks, posing a health risk.

Many plastic bottles contain a chemical called Bisphenol A, or BPA. This

chemical is associated with a variety of health risks. Heating or bleaching plastic
bottles may increase the leeching of BPA into the bottle's contents.

Reuse of disposable Soda / water bottles is therefore avoided.
