Course Overview

Performance monitoring and benchmarking is one of the key objectives for telecom regulators and
operators. This course will serve as landmark for the professionals looking to enhance their skills in the
performance, QoS and Benchmarking of Mobile Networks. This course will focus on 2G, 3G and 4G
Networks. While performance monitoring tools will also be discussed in this comprehensive course.
Performance measurement tools and techniques allow the quantification of the problems and
solutions. Definition and reporting of KPIs is also covered to benchmark operators on common
grounds.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) in GSM, UMTS, HSPA and LTE are defined through the definition and
measurement of key parameters of input and output of internal network system and/or maintenance &
operation progress of mobile network operations.

Key Performance Indicators are a set of quantifiable measures used in GSM, UMTS, HSPA, and LTE
networks to gauge or compare performance in terms of meeting mobile networks strategic and
operational goals. KPIs vary between management, marketing, operations and network engineering
people depending on their priorities, perspectives or performance criteria sometimes referred to as key
success indicators (KSI).

This ETS s Workshop is designed to provide a strong foundation to deploying relevant and feasible KPIs
for 3GPP RAN and Core networks.

By completing this Training Workshop, you will gain both the theoretical knowledge of KPIs and
practical skills of using a variety of performance management techniques and methods for KPI planning
and development. This workshop is ideal for professionals who optimize 3GPP RAN , Core and regulate
and performance monitoring professionals.
