SFP Transceiver for Fast Ethernet,

Description
The SFP transceiver MS10019x of
MICROSENS allow a data transmission
via fiber optic cables.
The transceiver operates with data rates
in the range 50..200 Mbps and is
therefore suitable for Fast Ethernet
(100Base-FX) and SONET/SDH
applications (OC-3/STM-1). The
maximum transmission distance is 2 km
for multimode fiber and up to 40 km for
single mode fibers.
SFPs transceiver offer the highest
flexibility and can be installed during
operation (hot swap). SFP stands for
Small Form Factor Pluggable and is
based on the principle of the GBICs. The
main difference is the significant smaller
dimension with half of the width

(mechanical dimension), which is
possible due to the use of the compact
LC connector.
The optical transceiver of MICROSENS
comply to the SFP MSA (Multi-Source
Agreement). Furthermore they are
compatible to the 100Base-FX
specifications IEEE802.3u and SONET
OC-3/SDH STM-1.
For detailed information about the actual
operation parameters the transceivers
are optionally available with diagnostics
function (DDM). This is compatible to the
SFF-8472 specifications.
For application in harsh environments a
version with extended temperature
range -40..85C (Option X) is available.
