I am setting up apple stamping for the children. The children will
be provided different colour and sizes of apples, and they will be
cut in half. The children will then take the apples and dip them in
their choices of red, yellow, and green paint.
Objective:
1. The children will further enhance their ability to identify
patterns (4.18) by creating a pattern with the apples.
2. The children will further develop their fine motor skills (5.3) by
dipping the apple into the paint and then stamping it on the
paper.
Materials:
- 3 pieces of construction paper
- 3 apples cut in half
- red, yellow, and green paint
Implementation:
1. A group of 2-3 students will come to the painting table
2. the children will then use the apples to dip into the paint
3. after the children dip the apple into the paint, they will then
stamp their paper and create a pattern
Teaching Strategies
1. Modelling
I will model how to use the apple as the stamp so the children can
see what i mean
2. Performing Task Analysis
I will break down the steps of taking the apple and dipping it in to
the paint to stamp. I will also demonstrate a variety of patterns
to ensure the children understand.
