This

week we were assigned to complete a thematic unit. We had to create three

lessons surrounding a specific theme. Out of all the assignments that we have done,
this one was my favorite. At first, this assignment was a little difficult because I had
to decide on a theme that can be incorporated into all three lesson. I looked at
several books and decided to do my thematic unit lesson on rattlesnakes. I have
observed that students truly enjoy lessons that are based on animals. After choosing
my topic, I decided to do the three lesson plans on reading, social studies and
science. This assignment was challenging, but not impossible. Incorporating
technology into my lessons was a little difficult, but I decided to do activities that I
wish I could do. Getting creative with the activities was most fun for me because I
imagine it being the same way once I become a teacher.
