Favorable Effects of Technology in the Classroom

a. Teachers Catching-up with Todays Trends

A- We are able to use gadgets for example laptops, cell sphones, computers, LED
tv in the classrooms.
B- I know how to use modern technologies not only in my personal use but also in
my teaching. I know how to manipulate them.
C- We have resources and we are equipped with trainings and seminars regarding
the use of these technologies/ resources like projectors, LED tv, tablets, laptops.
D- Whenever we start the lesson, we use gadgets and other technology to serve
as motivation. Most of the time, we use projectors for the presentation of videos
before starting the lesson.

b. Facilitates Ease in the Teaching-Learning Process

C- Technology is very impt po di lang sa mga bata para din po sa ating mga teachers
kasi magiging mas madali yong trabaho, yung mga bata nacocontrol with the use
of technology.
E- We are now on the 21st century. Gadgets/ technologies are very important and
work becomes easier. We can also gather information from the internet. I use
videos if they are bored to arouse their interest.
F- Technology is necessary when the pupils still could not understand or
comprehend the lesson. They need to see the moving objects like video clips for
them to remember the lesson.

c. Improved Learners Reception

C- They are very receptive unlike in the traditional way of teaching. They are
excited every day for new things because they see moving pictures, animations.
D- They are highly receptive whenever I use those gadgets because millennial
nowadays cant live or sleep without their gadgets beside them. Sometimes,
pupils ask me if they can open their dictionary through their mobile phones.
E- The students are receptive because they are enjoying while learning.

2. Unfavorable Effects of Technology in the Classroom

 a. Makes Lackadaisical Learners

B- Siguro yung gusto nila yung madali lang ayaw na nilang mag isip minsan kahit sa
writing nila di na nila masyadong naayos esp in English writing nila.
C- Technology will teach them to become lazy. By always using technology with
the internet connection, kapag may kailangan silang information they get it by just
one click unlike in the older days, they have to browse different books in the
library.
F- They become lazy.
G- They complain if you ask them to write. They easily get tired of writing so you
really have to check.

b. Learners Becoming Subservient to Technology

A- For me, the continuous use of technology nagiging short yung attention span
ng bata kasi nagrerely nalang sila sa gadgets or computers.
C- By always using technology with the internet connection, kapag may kailangan
silang information they get it by just one click unlike in the older days, they have
to browse different books in the library. They depend on technology.

c. Teachers Are Sometimes Taken for Granted

B- When the students get interested, they become hyper, And the main concern
will be their behaviour. They become naughty when we always use technology
especially when they know the video you show them, they are noisy.
E- Sometimes they do not listen to you anymore

3. Resolutions to Improve Learning

a. Balanced Utilization of Traditional and Modern Learning Resources

B- I would suggest and encourage them to read books also. They should know the
importance of books rather than always using technology of gadgets.
C- In school, we have books, references so we must give them assignments and
check if they really got it from the books, not from the internet.
E- Keep it balanced in a way that they will not be using gadgets always. They must
also read books.
b. Limiting but Making the Most Out of the Use of Technology

A- The use of technology must be scheduled and be strict about the

implementation. Be consistent about the scheduling.
D- I think there should be a schedule within the use of technology so that the
variety of strategies would not be violated. Maybe three times a week and maybe
the two days are for the traditional so that the various activities will also be
catered.
F- They have to control the use of technology. Like if you give them the website,
they should not be playing online games.
