SUGGESTION FOR PLAYING THE PIECE:
This piece is specially designed to the beginners players because its technic level is simple, the
arranger suggests to be careful with the breath points marked in the music, if the student doesnt reach
those points its necessary increase the tempo. The A theme is unison so its perfect to start working
at the beginning in the concept of tuning.

FREDY MAURICIO PINZN AGUILAR:


Colombian clarinetist, graduated in music education, Educational management specialist and music
magister focused on clarinet performance in the Universidad Simon Bolivar, Venezuela. He studied
with professors like Carlos Parra, Hector Pinzn, Luis Rossi, Valdemar Rodriguez and Jorge
Montilla. Like arranger and compositor he was won the first places in national band contests like
Paipa, Tocancip, La Vega and Anapoima. He is founder and artistic director of the Semana
internacional del Clarinete (Tunjas Clarinet International Week). Currently work like Tunjas
School of musics clarinet teacher and arranger. (Aguilar, 2017)

SUGGESTION FOR PLAYING THE PIECE:


The arranger suggests first to play the F major scale to prepare the students to this key, in the measure
9 the first clarinet do another different rhythm against the second and the third one, so, is suggested
to be careful with the dynamic and highlight the lead voice

SUGGESTED WAY TO USE THIS METHOD:
The first 27 pages are a introduction to the clarinet and how it works (I suppose that introduction its
was used by Klos to present the new Boehm mechanism that he designed with Louis-Auguste Buffet
in 1843) the teacher should have the capacity to synthesize those pages in the best way to the student,
because generally this method is used to the kids.

HYACINTHE KLOS (1808 1880):


Was a French educator, composer and clarinetist who develop a huge activity like clarinet professor
in the Paris conservatory and clarinet musician in the Thatre italien de Paris, was one of the
references to develop the clarinet Boehm system that helped to eliminate cross fingerings and make
it easier to play it and contributing to the clarinet modernization, like composer he create one of the
most popular beginner music methods to the clarinet and the saxophone: Mthode Complte de
Clarinett and 25 exercices journaliers pour le Saxophone.
