The Auto Zoom 1014 Electronic is a newly developed 8mm cine
camera equipped with a remarkable ten times F 1.4 zoom lens,
the fastest available in its kind . Nine unique new glass elements
have been combined to support a zooming speed of 5 to 7
seconds. In spite of its unmatched speed, it has high resolving
power and contrast because of its outstanding optical charac-
teristics and Super Spectra Coating. Power zooming can be
accomplished by means of two switches and manual zooming
with the zooming ring of rotation angle of 120 .

2 Macro-shooting mechanism simplifies close-up shooting

with no additional accessory
One of the most outstanding features of the Auto Zoom 1014
Electronic, is its built-in macro-shooting mechanism _ With this
unique feature, super-close-up shooting can be accor<nplished by
simply switching the zooming ring and as little as 10mm (3/8")
from the tip of the lens to the subject without any accessory.
This is very useful not only for titling and copy work, but also for
accurate scientific observation. With the combined use of the
macro-shooting mechanism and the normal shooting function,
continuous shooting is possible from macro to normal shooting,
even with zooming effects.

3 The
Variable shutter control
Auto Zoom 1014 Electronic has a variable shutter control
which can set the shutter opening angle continuously from 0
to 150 . It makes fade-in and fade-out techniques easy. All

sorts of sophisticated "professional-like" touches can be added
to movie-making. The variable shutter control mechanism can
also be used to minimize blur when shooting moving subjects,

4 New mechanism for lap dissolve and superimPosition

Lap dissolve and superimposition can be performed accurately
by a simple operation, thanks to its new built-in rewind mecha-
nism. This opens a whole new world of possibilities to your
movie-making.

The aperture of the eyepiece was enlarged to make the view-
finder brighter and easier to read. Its split-image screen is easy
to focus even in dark places, and the rangefinder is interchange-
able with the microprism screen. Besides, TTL metering mea-

sures the -incoming light through the lens and CdS photocells are
nearer to the focal plane to obtain higher precision . The EE
system has a Servo meter to control aperture properly, and the
minimum diaphragm aperture of f / 32 is possible. An ali-transis-
tor bridge circuit which remains stable before temperature and
voltage changes guarantees steady pictures always even at the
slow-motion (54 fps). Meter information, such as over and
under-exposure warning marks, aperture scale , meter needle ,
film end caution lamp and shutter angle indicator can be easily
o 0 read at a glance.

6 Instant slow-motion shooting

Ordinary shooting speed can suddenly be changed to slow-mo-
tion shooting by pulling down the switch and, compared to other
cameras, it shoots with more definition at the surprising speed
of 54 fps.

7 The
Synchronized flash
flash synchronization socket is built in for single -frame
shooting. It can be used for titling or for animation films_

8 Remote control shooting

A magnetic release mechanism enables you to use a full range
of remote control accessories , such as the Self Timer E, the
Interva l Timer E, and the Time Lapse Programmer. You can
join the picture or shoot at given intervals to achieve more
interesti ng effects.
