Amanco introduced sustainability strategy in 2000 that helped this company as follows:

In developing economic sustainability for the long-term profits.

It focuses on the aspects of corporate social responsibility

It also focuses on the environmental management

Therefore, it triple bottom line values helped this company to become one of the most

admired socially responsible company. Amancos CEO Salas believes that Company should

communicate and deliver objectives in clear way thats why in its triple bottom line approach

Company has focused on meeting the Corporate Social responsibility aspects, able to create

economic value with sustainable growth in long run, able to generate value through

environment management.

With this approach, it has become able to increase its profitability by 10 percent and

improved its operating efficiency by focusing on financial dimension, customer dimension,

process and technology dimension, environmental dimension, and human resource

dimension, Kaplan (January, 2008).

What are the pros and cons to Amancos balanced scorecard approach to

sustainability?

Pros of Amanco's balanced scorecard approach, Kaplan (January, 2008):

Helped this company in managing its growth plans by measuring its financial

perspective, customer perspective, economic value, process and technology

perspective, human resource perspective, and social as well as environmental

perspective. These different perspectives have attracted investors that's why Amanco

predict that it will continuously grow in the leading market.

and high margin products, and customer satisfaction.

Company maintains its social and environmental aspects and integrated these factors

with its all other actions.

However, Amanco's balanced scorecard didn't integrate with its triple bottom line concept

that could help this company to take some competitive advantage by creating values.

Amanco is still operating in a decentralized manner

There is no symmetry in its business units

Company's Sustainability scorecard did not perform as predefined in its objectives

even after rearranging the five blocks for meeting the stakeholders needs and

objectives.
