Transition Type Function
Saying 1-2-3 The teacher says 123
so the children have to listen
to the teacher and stop talking,
then the teacher will explain
the next step to them. For
example: In the break time the
teacher says 123 and tell them
to take the food from the
locker.
Hands up The teacher says hands up
so the children have to leave
everything they are doing, and
put their hands on their heads.
They listen to the teachers
instruction, and start preparing
for the next activity. She uses
it during the activities.
Put sand times Children have specific time to
do the activity. She puts the
glass timer to show how much
time they have.
Evaluation
I think it is a good transition
because its simple and easy to
follow. Its clear so all the
students listen and follow the
instructions
I like this transition and I see
it successful because the
student were responding to the
teachers instructions and I
think I will use it while I am
teaching.
I think this is a good
transition, but I think it can be
improved by using a numeral
timer, because that will get
them more familiar to
numbers and they will know
exactly how much time is left
and they wont need to
estimate.
