Standard Competence
1. Speaking

Stating Instructions and information which are very simple in the context of student’s
surroundings

Basic Competence
Making an adjacency pairs of asking and giving a thing or a help which includes: asking
for help, doing a favor, asking for something, and giving something.

a. Students are able to respond to the expressions of asking and giving help.

b. Students are able to respond to the expressions of asking and giving directions.

c. Students are able to repeat the teacher of how to: ask and give help.

d. Students are able to repeat the teacher of how to: ask and give directions.

Purpose of Study
In the end of the study:

a. 80% of the students correctly respond to 8 of 10 expressions of asking for help.

b. 80% of the students correctly respond to 8 of 10 expressions of doing a favor.

c. 80% of the students correctly respond to 8 of 10 expressions of asking directions.

d. 80% of the students correctly respond to 8 of 10 expressions of giving directions.

e. 80% of the students are able to repeat at least 75% the expressions in the list given by the
teacher.

f. 75% of the students are able to mention 3 kinds of expressions about how to ask for help.

g. 75% of the students are able to mention 3 kinds of expressions about how to do a favor.

h. 75% of the students are able to mention 3 kinds of expressions about how to ask
directions.

i. 75% of the students are able to mention 3 kinds of expressions about how to give
directions.

j. 75% of the students are able to pronounce 8 of 10 expressions in the list given by the
teacher.

k. 75% of the students are able to make an adjacency pairs with a partner using one of the
expressions given by the teacher in about 15 minutes.

l. 75% of the students are able to perform the adjacency pairs with a partner in front of the
class for about 3 minutes.
