PROJECT SUMMARY

Name of the Enterprise

Berry Flantastic is a strawberry flavored leche flan. Berry is taken from the products main
ingredient, strawberry. Flantastic, on the other hand, is a wordplay on flan and fantastic. Berry Flantastic
is a desert that will give customers a different taste of leche flan.

The enterprise chose to rent a building where it will conduct its operation located at 55 T. Alonzo
St., Baguio City. The site is preferred because it is convenient since it is near the place where the
proponents get their raw materials, and it is sanitary and spacious which is suitable in the production of
the goods.

Vision: To be the best provider of nutritious, flavorful and affordable strawberry leche flan.
Mission: To provide the customers with a nutritious and flavorful dessert.

Projects Long Range Objectives


Berry Flantastic aims to be the first and best provider of strawberry leche flan in Baguio City and
seeks to supply the different university canteens and other food courts. The business aspires to expand its
operation in nearby locations like La Trinidad, Pangasinan, La Union and other provinces.

Feasibility Criteria

The purpose of the study is to know the profitability and viability of Berry Flantastic in Baguio
City. Specifically, it aims to determine the level of demand and supply, capital requirements, and the
financing that will be needed in putting up the business.

TECHNICAL STUDY

Berry Flantastic will be located at 55 T. Alonzo St., Baguio City. The production and distribution of the
products would be an everyday process - from Monday to Friday starting from 8 oclock in the morning
to 5 oclock in the afternoon. The space that will be provided for the operations of the enterprise is
approximately 6mx4m in area. 288 units of Berry Flantastic, i.e. 128 llanera-sized and 160 solo serving,
are expected to be produced on a normal operating day. This is equivalent to 38,400 grams of Berry
Flantastic. Also, this chapter shows the equipment, tools, and supplies used for the production and for
administrative purposes. The layout and size of the production are all presented for the purpose of
identifying the business operation. After the conducting the technical study, the project cost amounted to
307,568.52 which is computed by considering machinery and equipment, raw materials, furniture and
fixtures, packaging materials, production supplies, tools and implements, and all the expenses needed to
start the business operations. The selling price per serving of llanera and solo-sized leche flan is 20.00
and 43.00 respectively.

SOCIO- ECONOMIC STUDY

The socio- economic aspect of the study shows the relevance of the business affecting not only its
operations but also the employees. This study aims to determine how the business may affect the social
and economic aspect of the community as a whole. The enterprise aims for profit generation and business
expansion and to contribute to the welfare and betterment of the economic status of the community. To
achieve this, the enterprise will provide jobs for the residents of Baguio City and will then increase the
employment rate on the community. The enterprise will taxes and other fees and charges promptly thus
raising the local and national revenue that would be used to finance development projects and to promote
welfare to every Filipino citizens. The enterprise uses strawberries as the main ingredient of the product
thus helping the local suppliers to boost sales and increasing the earnings in the market.

MANAGEMENT STUDY

The enterprise will establish an efficient management system in order to operate the business to its full
potential. Rules and regulations during labor hours are provided by the management for the enterprise to
function well. The enterprise will hire two workers for the production and delivery of the products, one
general manager to supervise the overall operations and one accountant representing the administrative
and selling department. The basic requirements and qualifications of the employees that are needed are
taken into considerations. Employees will be paid a reasonable compensation according to the minimum
wage set by the departments of the government.

ACCOUNTING SYSTEM STUDY

This study will cover major business cycles which includes revenue, expenditure, production and payroll
as well as their corresponding internal controls. Flowcharts are used to depict roles of employees and
relationship of processes to one another for a more proper relaying of information. In this aspect of the
study also explains complete listing of every account and important business form used in the accounting
system.
