The church will provide turkey, dressing, rolls and drinks. We need you
to bring side dishes and desserts. Remember the Giving Tree will be
ready to present this night.
Still need 2 volunteers to cook a turkey breast for Wednesday. If
you have already volunteered, you may pick up your turkey today
in the kitchen immediately following worship service this morning.

A Letter from an inmate:
I want to thank your church for loving the Lord.
Your love for the Lord gives your church the
willingness to do jail ministry. Your church gave
me my first Bible. Since then, I have been saved
and decided to go to rehab, and start a new sober Christian life. Thank
you for all you do.

Please continue to pray for our jail ministry as we minister each week to
these women. Many of them have never heard the name of Jesus
before.
Christmas...
We are going to be able to give each inmate (men and women) a gift
bag at Christmas this year. Last year we were able to give them a pair
of socks, bar of soap, individual bag of chips and a snack cake. You
can be a part of this by making a donation to the jail ministry. Just mark
jail ministry in the memo line on your check and place in the offering
plate.

Did you know that except for novice drivers, there is no prohibition
on cell phone use while driving in Tennessee? However, all Tennessee
drivers are prohibited from texting. There is no handheld cell phone
prohibition for drivers except that novice drivers in Tennessee - drivers
with a learner's permit or intermediate license are prohibited from
using cell phones (handheld or hands-free) while driving. All drivers are
prohibited from texting while driving. The ban on texting exempts
certain officials - such as officers of the state, campus police officers
and emergency medical technicians - when performing their
duties. Tennessee law prohibits school bus drivers from using cell
phones while the bus is in motion and transporting children. As with all
drivers, bus drivers are prohibited from texting while driving. Violation
of the texting law is punishable by a fine of up to $50 plus court costs
not to exceed $10. Novice drivers who violate the law may be fined up
to $100. Violators will also be ineligible to apply for an intermediate or
unrestricted driver's license for an extra 90 days after they otherwise
would have been eligible. Tennessees cellphone and texting laws are
considered primary laws. A primary law means that an officer can pull
you over for the offense without having to witness some other violation.
That is, the officer sees you texting and issues a citation.
