The teaching aspect competency that I think I need to work on is time management and classroom
management during the activity time.

Be more aware of the class time and try to use some strategies to manage the class.

I can take pictures or videos, moreover my MST notes can be evidence.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

On the carpet, I will explain to the children that today they are going to learn a new sound. But first we
will sing the (song of sounds), then we will review the pervious sounds.

After that I will Show them a video of the letter N song. Then I will ask them questions about the video e.g.
what was the letter you saw in the video? Can you remember 1 word you saw? What did you see also?

Show them the letter N flashcard and ask the students if they can identify the letter N, and sing nurse
Nellies nice n n n with doing the action.

Show children the n picture Card (nurse-nest-night) and ask them to repeat after me.

On the board I will show the students how to write the letter N by using the explanation we start from the

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Students will have find the letter n worksheet and bingo markers, the students will try to find the letter
n and with the bingo marker they will dot them.

Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

Students will have read it, write it activity sheet, marker, the n picture Card and letter n small cards.
The students will put the letter n card on the sheet, they will pick up one of the picture cards and ut in on
the box, then they will write the letter and the word.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3)

Students will have the letter n coloring worksheet, watercolors, painting brushes, golden, stars and
glitter. First they will color the letter n using the brushes, then they will design the letter with the
stars and glitter.

Call the students together as a group, ask them to recall the letter that was learned today and the words

that begin with the letter N. ask the students to write the letter n on the board take responses by raised
hands.

SWC Lesson Reflection

This lesson is for the grade level KG2; the lesson has taken place in the classroom. The learning outcomes
that I was trying to achieve in this lesson are; The students will be able to say, read and write letter /n/.
And identify words that begin with the letter n.

The students did very well; they were engaged and enjoyed what they were learning. They were actively
participating and responding to my questions and the activities.

First I revised the previous sounds and I made sure all the students were participate and involved. I
introduced the sound by showing a video, but I think the video was not good and I should have picked
another video. Because in government schools they only focus on the sound of the letter and they only
introduce the small case letter. In the video they kept saying the letter N with shoeing the uppercase
letter. So next time I will make sure I find a suitable video for their stage.
After the video I asked them about what they saw in the video, only few students participate with me, the
others were not involved. So next time I will implement other techniques.

The small group activities were really good, the students enjoyed the activities. But some students had
some difficulties with the read it, write it activity. Because some students took too much time to write the
word.

The aspects that I need to improve is assessment, how to assist the students after the lesson, and how to
use this assessment to help the students to improve.
