Paramount Physical Therapy and Wellness Center

Shelby Ambrose, Liz Blanford, Cate Murphy, Katie Nemann

Executive Summary
The idea for our clinic was born from our experiences in our first clinical rotation. We
found time and time again that young professionals were coming in to see us with
injuries from attending workout classes in the community. This gave us the idea to set
up a clinic where we could collaborate with instructors and healthcare providers that we
trust and that we would feel comfortable recommending to our patients. This
relationship would benefit all involved; the physical therapist as well as the providers,
but most importantly the patient. Our clinic would be placed in the heart of the
Rookwood area in hopes of becoming a dependable source of healthcare for the
booming young professional population in this neighborhood. Upon opening our clinic,
we will be under the same roof as a certified acupuncturist and licensed massage
therapist to create a symbiotic relationship amongst providers and offer our patients the
opportunity to address their health in a holistic manner. In our five year plan, we will be
adding weekly workout classes available through our attached workout studio, including
yoga, Pilates, Barre, bootcamps and more. This multi-disciplinary approach allows us to
promote the idea of complete wellness, and would allow us as physical therapists to
make recommendations to these providers that we know will provide the highest quality
care. Our marketing plan includes partnering with a massage therapist and
acupuncturist upon opening and establishing a client base through advertisements on
business cards, brochures, emails, and websites, as well as a social media presence of
Facebook and Twitter. A collaboration with the Oakley Recreation Center will also allow
us to build our cliental. We are asking the bank for $100,000 for the first three months of
our company opening the doors. Our budget (attached) shows our companys total
revenues after one year at $464,424, with total expenses after one year at $323,514.
This shows that we will acquire a total net profit of $140,910, clearly demonstrating that
we are a company worth investing in.

hand out at races and events around town, and to give to our clients. We are
purchasing the domain to our own new website to explain about our business. We will
then create our own Twitter and Facebook accounts to continue on with reaching out
with people online. We hope to make it possible for people to schedule online and ask
us questions. We plan on following up with each patient 1 month after their last
treatment session to see how they are doing and if they need to follow up again with
therapy or schedule an appointment with one of our partners. We plan on interacting
with the community on a regular basis, volunteering at local races and at the Oakley
Rec Center. We will teach a free class there once each quarter to promote regular
exercise and promote our business.

Location/Justification

We have chosen to put Paramount Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in Rookwood
Commons. This is an up and coming neighborhood with most of the age distribution of
the population from 20 to 35 years old. Rookwood Commons is in the heart of a popular
area where people go to work, shop, eat, and exercise. Paramount will be located in an
already existing office building that has a free parking garage for all our patients. Our
clinic is going to provide a number of services to allow for the people of Oakley, Hyde
Park, and other nearby neighborhoods to live happy and healthy lives. There are some
physical therapy clinics in this neighborhood, but there is only one clinic that may pose a
threat to Paramount. That clinic is Beyond Exercise, which offers a variety of other
services besides physical therapy, including endurance coaching, nutrition, and running
and cycling services. Paramount is able to offer massage therapy, acupuncture, and
fitness classes in the future, which will set us apart from the competition.
