My goal in mandarin for the fall semester of this school year was to have learned more in reading and speaking in
mandarin. Overall, I was successful in reaching this goal because of strengths regarding to class engagement and
participation. I succeeded primarily because I have tried to pay more attention and get my work done in class or either
at home. Additionally, I have sometimes made positive choices during class time such as using my worksheets as
resource to help me. Although I succeeded with several study skills this year, I have also struggled with organization
and preparation. Additionally, I have often forgotten to use Google Classroom to keep up with my assignments. In most
cases, these organizational habits have hurt my ability to complete major project and classwork assignments on time.
My S.M.A.R.T. goal for the spring semester of this school year is to improve my writing, reading, and speaking skills. I
will accomplish this goal by studying and working hard. I will also check Google Classroom twice each day to ensure
that I am keeping up with every may-do and must-do writing assignment. In order to overcome my weakness in
forgetting to sometimes bring my work uncomplete, I will get it done before the day that is due. My hope for the future is
that I will be able to be able to speak in mandarin and understand it better just by listening.
