1. Course Description:
A sound knowledge of Basic Science area develops an engineering graduate to solve many technical
problems encountered in daily life, particularly in the area of engineering. Keeping in view the recent
developments in Science and the present needs in Industries, the curriculum of Engineering Chemistry plays
a key role, so that the Engineers or Technicians may have a better knowledge of Chemistry, especially
regarding the application of the subject in various fields of Industries. The syllabus is made in such a way
students are able to develop knowledge, skill and scientific attitude. It will enable them to distinguish,
differentiate, analyze and solve engineering problems.. Engineering Science introduces student to those
areas of Science which, from a modern point of view, are most important in connection with practical
problems.
