V. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform housekeeping duties and be qualified as
Housekeeping attendant. It also provides a thorough knowledge of guestroom cleaning and maintenance and also with the sanitation in
housekeeping operations.
VI. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Describe the duties and responsibilities of the housekeeping department.
2. Describe and perform general housekeeping procedures incorporating OHS&W considerations in all aspects.
3. Explain and demonstrate how to service guest rooms incorporating OHS&W practices in all aspects.
