PART 2: INTERNET SHOULD NOT BE USED

QUESTION 3 (30 minutes)

Please provide answers to all of the following questions (at least 100-150 words).

1. What makes you fit for a career in writing? How do you compare this profession (journalism/ writing)
as against other professions? Where do you see yourself five years from now.

Writing for me is an escape route. Escape from mundane and rudimentary notions of world.
No responsibilities, no theories or formulae just your own thoughts that you can be pen down
the way you want to. Besides, I really love the tingling feeling on my fingers when they
rapidly glide over the keyboard, acupuncture I guess. For the sake of career, when you
passionately love something and endure yourselves to be the best you could, not for the sake
of proving your mettle to the world , but to prove it to yourself, I think thats an educated
choice. I dont think other then writing there is another field which has the power to
influence, entertain and educate all at once. Sound for body, mind and soul. Writing is the
prime brick on which human race and civilization is built upon. Importantly, the sanity lies in
doing what you love or love what you do and writing bats equally for me. For technical
reasons, I really enjoy the pursuit of crafting a good work. Research, drafting, staring at the
blank screen and repeating those processes again and again, you see innumerable room for
improvisation and authentic creation.

While there are perks for other professions too, but I think its rather a matter of taste,
choices and intuitions. A career where you dont consider yourself bounded by office hours
and where the more you give the more you get comes into role at every aspect, why wont
someone go for it.

Regarding writing or perhaps any other area of life, I never consider myself Pro at something
that easily, no matter what the world says. I believe there is always a space for innovation, a
quest for learning something new and challenging. There is always a moment to be witnessed
and a history to be written down.

Five years for now, thats a pretty long term. I guess I have no plans that could be stretched
that long except financial and other stuffs. I prefer to be in present and let life and god
surprise me!

2. Which are the current issues in India that is hindering its growth to become the world leader?
Rome wasnt built in a day. No country stood a chance to be a politically empowered
nation not until they figure out the solutions of problem that hindered their growth.
India is a developing super power. Like a child sailing through different stages of life
India will rise and fall and then again rise. Success of a nation depends upon the ideology
of its civilization and the mutual relationship with neighboring countries.
A call for educated young generation to take initiative in leading the nation, motivation to
foreign investments and agricultural development along-with a solution to maintain
market and capital equilibrium shall aid in the countries objective of becoming a world
leader.

3. Describe one incident in your life that has been a turning point for you.

7 years from now, it was the day when I lost an inter-school 200m dash. And when I lost,
it was like the time paused for a while. I had my mom watching me. I stood at the finish
line, glanced at my moms face and the last thing I remember was hitting the ground hard
face first.

Later regaining my consciousness, I found myself at home in her lap. No one said
anything, no discussion of what happened at the school.

I really couldnt digest defeat at all. Even today, I fear losing no matter how small the bet
is, but even that couldnt stop me from participating into the game. That incident changed
my outlook towards everything between life and death.
