Professional Practice 2 Assessment 1

What else do you think we need? How are we going to measure?

What are we going to mix our ingredients in? Use various questions

Pick 1 student from end of row to come and help with 1 task. Repeat
and try to get all students to come and do something.

Praise for making good choices and encourage waiting for their turn.

Once mixture is ready to roll tell students that they will be rolling
their own space rock with the teacher in the activity session.

With teacher
Ask students to wash their hands again.
1-2 students at a time will roll dough into balls and put onto tray
lined with baking paper and students name.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle with space dust when taken out of oven let cool.

Conclusion: Show students recipe and ask them do they remember what it is
(3 minutes) called. Ask various questions based on what has been covered
through making space rocks.
How did we make them? Who can remember what we did? What did
we have to measure out? How did we measure out?
Show students the cooked space rocks that they created. Praise them
for doing a fantastic job.
