Ministry for the Sick and Homebound
We are grateful to those who give of their time and
care to bring Holy Communion to our parishioners
who cannot make it to church due to sickness or in-
firmity. If you know of anyone who would like to re-
ceive communion in their home or while hospitalized
at West Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish office.
SVDP Society
MISSION - The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a
lay Catholic organization whose mission is: To live
the Gospel message by serving Christ in the
poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
VALUES - The Mission of the Society of St. Vincent
de Paul implies that as Vincentians we: see Christ in

Todays Gospel tells us
to realize that our God-
given talents are not ours
to keep. We are called to
discover and find our per-
sonal gifts. If we have a
lousy voice, its a good
thing when we turn down
invitations to sing the na-
tional anthem before the big game. However, if we
have the voice but lack the courage to step up to the
microphone, then we are thwarting Gods plan for
us, hiding these gifts under the bushel basket.
Singer-songwriter Jesse Manibusan was given the
gift of music. His toe always tapped right on the
beat. His fingers sprawled effortlessly over the frets
of his guitar. His big voice ranged to dizzy heights
and thunderous lows as he sang with an overflow-
ing, full heart. When Jesse was younger, his kids
loved to hear their daddy sing The Cow Says Moo.
Today, the world loves to hear and sing one of
Jesses most popular songs: Open My Eyes, Lord.
God had always been patiently calling Jesse to full
-time music ministry. One day, he quit his job as a
printing salesman and bravely stepped into an un-
certain future. Like todays Gospel promises, the
subsequent years brought Jesse national recognition
including World Youth Day performances plus many
songs and albums.
God is still not done heaping more upon anyone to

CCWN Angel Wishes
CCWN Angel Wishes was initiated by
Rita Morissette, a deceased member of
our parish in her desire to make a child's
special Christmas wish come true. We
encourage you to fulfill the special Angel
Wish the child has made. This allows the parents to
breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the sparkle of
Christmas Wonder will be possible for their child.
This generally entails a recommended financial in-
vestment of $30-40 per child. Please select a profile
from the display in the church, write your name and
phone number on the list and return your wrapped
gift and profile card to the church by Dec 10.
Prayer Shawls
The Prayer Shawl Ministry continues to create
handcrafted shawls for parishioners, their families
and friends who are coping with illness, loneliness,
pain or trouble. The shawls are knitted with compas-
sion and prayerfulness and are available to anyone
who needs one. Please call the office to request a
shawl or lap blanket or if you would like to join this
ministry. We meet monthly and welcome new mem-
bers.
