(BSC)

NOC CENTER

1. 2GMP sends the 2G rbs6000 swap plan job in each last weekend.
2. We (BSC) will prepare the 2G rbs6000 swap scripts with the plan job.
3. If the plan job has new site or addition E1 site, TN_CORERAN will provide the E1 DSX
port.
4. We will send the jumper to CENTER prepare the connections.
5. Start for 2G rbs6000 site swap. BTS call NOC&BSC. NOC will be record. BSC will be
start halt site and input the script.
6. Wait the BTS completed the sites hardware and IDB. We will check the transmission
with BTS. If the transmission is WO that we will bring the MOs into service and unblocking the

4
MOs. If the transmission is ABL that BTS will be check the transmission cable.
7. Wait the BTS completed the antenna jumper. We will active the site and BTS will test call
on site.
8. Wait the BTS response the test call was completed. At this moment, 2G rbs6000 swap
was completed too.

3.2 Make use of OSS

1. Open the OSS. Choose the 1O or 2O->Enter.

2. Login OSS. Enter the User name and Password->OK.

5
3. Open the Command Handling. Choose the Start->Applications->Ericsson->Tools->AXE
Management-> Command Handling.

5. Connect BSC. Choose the Network Element->BSC15->Connect.

3.3 2G RBS6202 Swap and Command handling.

Command Description of 2G Swap.
1. Checking the cell status.
COMMAND: RLSTP:CELL=A2006A;

7
2. Change the cell status for halted.
COMMAND: RLSTC:CELL=A2006A,STATE=HALTED;

3. Check the status information for the managed objects (MO). The status as below
when the site will be halted.
COMMAND: RXMSP:MO=RXOTG- 432,SUBORD;

8
4. Check all of administration data for the MO instances. When parameter
SUBORD is used, MO instances are processed only if their superior MOs are
defined. The TG parameter as below before the RBS6000 swap.
COMMAND: RXMOP:MO=RXOTG-432;

9
5. Check the DIP status. There are 3 statuses of WO (Working) or MBL
(Manually blocked) or ABL (Automatically blocked) with the DIP.
COMMAND: DTSTP:DIP=152RBL2;

6. Deblock the specified DIP, when the DIP status was MBL:
COMMAND:DTBLE:DIP=152RBL2;

7. Check the device state details. The start DEV = DIP*32 and the end

10
DEV = start DEV + 31.
COMMAND: STDEP:DEV=RBLT2-46864&&-4895;

8. Brings a device into service from a PRE-POST SERVICE state. It is not

allowed to bring RBLT devices into service in a stand-alone Transcoder Controller
(TRC) and transcoder devices into service when the node type is stand-alone Base
Station Controller (BSC).
COMMAND: EXDAI:DEV=RBLT2-4864&&-4895;

9. Requests the deblocking of the specified device(s), up to a maximum of 32

devices per invocation of the command. A device will normally be put into the idle
state, but will remain in the blocked state if it is faulty or not connected. Deblocking of
the specified devices, when the RBLT devices were MBL
COMMAND: BLODE:DEV=RBLT2-6496&&-6527;
Before deblocked the devices status as below:

11
After deblocked the devices status as below:

10. Change the software version. GSM900: B1305R061E / GSM1800:

B0705R031E.
COMMAND: RXMSC:MO=RXOTG-432,SWVER=B1305R061E;

12
11. Manual forced blocking indication the subordinate MOs.
COMMAND: RXBLI:MO=RXOTG-432,SUBORD,FORCE;

13
12. Out of service for the subordinate MOs. The MOs must be manually blocked,
that is in state COM.
COMMAND: RXESE:MO=RXOTG-432,SUBORD;

13. Change the CF terminal endpoint identifier. When the MOs out of service can
be use the RXMOC change all of the MOs configurations. In general practice,

14
GSM900 = 1st TG &
GSM1800 = 2nd TG in the cascade stream. TEI value of CFs = 62, 61, 60and so
on.
COMMAND: RXMOC:MO=RXOCF-432,TEI=62;

14. Deletes specified Abis paths between the Base Station Controller (BSC) and
the BTS for a specified TG in the transmission mode TDM. The last Abis path within a
TG will only be deleted if its associated transmission device does not have a
connected Digital Path (DIP).
COMMAND: RXAPE:MO=RXOTG-432,DCP=ALL;

15. Defines one or more Abis paths between the Base Station Controller (BSC)
and the BTS. This command is only valid if TG is in the transmission mode Time
Division Multiplexing (TDM).
COMMAND: RXAPI:MO=RXOTG-432,DCP=1&&15,DEV=RBLT2-4865&&-4879;

15
To facilitate the deployment of CS-3/4 & EDGE, for 2xE1 and 2xDUG case (dual band or large
configuration), please connect both E1s to the 1st DUG and then cascade them to the 2nd
DUG. For this configuration, we can dynamically assign TSs of these 2xE1 between the two
DUGs.

Input Cell name and system type, and then click OK

26
5. Set up inner cell
Input CO and RO, then click OK.

6. Set up channel group

Input corresponding parameters to channel group, then click OK

27
7. Fine a cell template in the same BSC, and then copy all the parameters to the new
cell.
Selected the cell template. Edit->Copy->All Parameters.

Select the defined new cell. Edit->paste. then change the parameters as the follow
pictures showed.

28
29
30
If all parameters are input the new cell plan area, then click OK.

31
8. Define Neighbor cells of the new cell.
Input Neighbor cell name, choose CS type, if the neighbor cell is internal cell with new cell,
please choose the CS to YES, else choose NO, and then click New. Keep doing this step
until all neighbor cells defined.

9. Change the parameters of all neighbor cells.

Selected the new cell, and then View->neighbor relations.

Right click select all, View->Objects in table.

32
Change the parameters of all neighbor cell, then Edit->Apply.

10. Check all parameters of the new cell.

Check the number of the neighbor cells: Select new cell, then View->Neighbor relations.

33
Check internal cell properties.

34
Check inner cell properties.

Check channel group properties.

12. Update new plan area.

Select new plan area, and then File->New job->Update job

35
Input update job name, update of BA list choose Unconditional, Fallback area
choose YES, and then click OK.

36
13. Check the state of the update job. File->Jobs->My own.

37
Check the update job report

NOTICE: If the CNA update job is failed, look into the ALEX (http://alex/cgi-bin/alex)
for help.

14. Check if all the cell parameters are correctly defined. Open a command handling
and input corresponding commands.
