THE POWER OF DISCERNING SPIRITS

A very important gift in the Christian Church is the

ability to discern and cast out evil spirits when they
are operating within the Church. We are not supposed
to cast out the people, only the evil spirits!

The Christian churches must seek God through His

Word for the gift of discerning of spirits both, good and
bad. It is vital to the church because The Word of God
says, “For many have crept in unawares,” (Jude 4).
Jesus told us that “You shall know the truth and the
truth shall make you free,” (Jn. ... 8:37). Then He
explained, “If therefore the Son shall make you free,
you shall be free indeed,” (Jn. 8:36).

Many pastors are asked about casting out demons they simply reply, “Christians can’t
have demons.” That’s it! Therefore, Christians are never taught spiritual warfare or how to
defend themselves or their families. The Bible was written by and for Christians. The Bible says,
James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Christians must be taught to protect themselves God’s way, through spiritual warfare by
spiritual defense, 1 Peter 5:8-10, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 whom resist steadfast in the
faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the
world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

 The essence of the Christian ministry is personal service. The earliest ministry of the
church was that of the Apostles. As the meaning of the word “apostle” indicates, they were
men “sent out” The Bible never told us to cease their beginnings. Jesus was a devil-driving
Minister. Jesus set the people free and we must do the same. Casting out demons is a very
specialized ministry which, when properly understood, involves unusual qualities of faith,
prayer and fasting (Matt. 17:19-20). If we do our part, God will perform His Word.

A prophecy is an incentive to holy living and service to God. We read in (1 Jn. 3:2-
3), "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but
we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And
every man that hath this hope (of Christ's coming) in him purifieth himself, even as He is
pure." The blessed hope for every believer is a call to godliness and holy living.

SIGNS AND WONDERS

The Lord said signs and wonders should follow them that believe. He gave an example of
these signs when He said in (Mk. 16:17), “They shall cast out devils.” What happens when you
deny the Word? It is most important that we have, in the Body of Christ, the power to discern
evil spirits. The Word of God says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness . . .” (Eph. 6:12).

Behind problems of the world and every evil which manifest is a hierarchy of evil spirits
that are motivated by Satan and his demonic servants. The Apostle Paul teaches about an
organized kingdom of principalities and powers that control hierarchy of evil spirits. They rule
at various levels of authority, as rulers of this present darkness. These are spirits in high places.
Unfortunately Christians are not totally immune to the influences of these powers. Victory
comes through Jesus Christ, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you,” (Jam. 4:7).

DEMONS AND ANGELS OF LIGHT

The rise of witchcraft and Satanism can be closely associated with the outpouring of
demons upon the earth. Also it can be placed at the feet of the multitude of humans who have
strayed away from God. Many in the Church of Jesus Christ have been blinded to the reality
that there is a spiritual warfare between good and evil. The Body of Christ has not responded to
the Lord’s instructions concerning “casting out devils.”

Clearly the Word of God states that in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus
Christ sorcery, spiritism, and various lying wonders of demonism shall prevail and a great falling
away from Jesus. (1 Thess. 2:9-10) says, "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan

with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in
them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
While this will come to its true climax in the Tribulation period, nevertheless, such
manifestations of Satan's working will be prevalent in the last days. This is what we find today.
The Devil works as an angel of light in resenting his powers and signs and lying wonders.
Magazines and books are already in the increase dealing with psychology, theosophy, fortune
telling and foretelling, and all such crooked thinking results in unrighteous living.

The main idea behind the angels is that they were here to serve or destroy humans. The
holy angels are the messengers of their Creator, while the fallen angels are the messengers of
Satan who is "the god of this world,” (2 Cor. 4:4). (Hebr. 1:14) tells us of the good angels who
minister to man's well-being, while (Eph. 6:12), shows that the evil spirits who war against that
in man which is wrought of God.

The Bible clearly exposes angels that dwell in the heavenly spheres. They appear in
numbers beyond our count. These powers are gathered in groups which are identified as
"thrones,” "dominions,” "principalities,” "powers,” "authorities,” and "heavenly host” (Col.
1:16; 1 Pet. 3:22; Lk. 2: 13). Yet, the Bible unmasks the truth that all these authorities are wholly
subject to the Lord Jesus Christ. He created the universe and all it contains, including the angelic
beings. He created "things . . . visible and invisible,” (Col. 1: 16). Peter says that “these beings
are subject to Christ,” (1 Pet. 3:22). (Jude verse 6) discloses the fact that angels have their own
dwelling places. They had an estate given to them.

This host of Satan in the Bible is called 'devils' but the word also suggests 'demons’.
Demon possession means that the demons enter the body and exercise control over it. Demon
influence is set forth as warfare from without Ephesians 6 which is carried on by temptation
and influence.

INVISIBLE BUT PERCEPTIBLE

These demons of Satan are bodiless spirits. (Notice Mk. 5:12), "And all the devils
(demons) besought Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them." (Read
also Matt. 12:43-45). "As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a dumb man possessed
with a devil. And when the devil (demon) was cast out, the dumb spake . . .” (Matt. 9:32, 33.
Read also Acts 8:6-7; 16: 16; Mk. 5: 1-13).

The Bible also instructs that these demons are wicked and unclean. Let us read (Matt.
8:28), "And when He was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there
met Him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no
man might pass by that way.” (Mk. 9:20), "And they brought him unto Him: and when he saw

Him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming,"
(Read also Matt. 10:1; Mk. 5:2-5).

Jesus taught that these spirits have various spiritual degrees of wickedness. In (Matt.
12:43-45), He says that the demon will return to his house, “. . . taketh with himself seven
other spirits more wicked than himself.” Now the question comes before us, “Is demon
possession possible in our age?" Many missionaries in so-called pagan countries will answer to
this question in the affirmative. American ministers are beginning to acknowledge the factuality
of demon possessions.

The Word of God confirms that demons can appear as “angels of light”, the same as
Satan. Christians must have God’s Holy Spirit to give us discernment. (2 Cor. 11:14-15), "And no
marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if
his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be
according to their works.”

According to Ephesians 6, the target of Satan and his demons is to hinder God's purpose
for this age. Satan’s intention is to extend his authority to his own kingdom on the earth. His
demons are instructed to carry on a definite warfare against all believers.

One technique of the demons is to present a form of godliness but to deny the power
thereof. And the multitudes that are withdrawing from the biblically based faith in God, is the
best evidence that we have today of the influence of demons. The Bible describes this
departure in the following Scriptures. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron,” (1 Tim. 4: 1,2).
These seducing spirits promote the doctrines of demons. These evil spirits are active in seeking
to turn men and women away from the faith. They are in rebellion against God and seek to
hinder God and His truth.

DISPOSITION OF THE ENEMY

The ultimate destination of demon spirits is destruction (the Great White Throne,) (Rev.
21:11-15; Matt. 15:41).

We have, in conflict with the enemy called in angels to wreak havoc on the enemy with
their swords, (Psa. 18:37-42). Transference speaks of pursuit of the enemy until he is consumed
or destroyed. The root word used in Hebrew (Strong’s #3615) means to utterly destroy,
consume away, make a clean riddance and quite take away. At the end of the verses it is stated,
“beat them fine as dust before the wind; I emptied (cast — KJV) them out as the mire of the

streets,”). These passages seem to indicate that they can be crushed into virtual nonexistence
until the final judgment of God.

Psalms 18:41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the Lord, but he
answered them not. Perhaps this indicates they can no longer complain to God that they have
a legal right to be where they are. Verse 40 states; Verse 18:40 -- Thou hast also given me the
necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me. Again the word for destroys
(Strong’s #6789) means to consume, cut off, destroy, vanish.

God says in the Book of Deuteronomy that if idolatry is proven in another town its
inhabitants must be put to the sword. Since the worship of idols is nothing more than the
worship of demons, the order to “destroy it (the town) completely”. The Hebrew word in
Strong’s number 2754 means to make accursed, utterly destroy, etc. When the children of
Israel were sent into the land they were commanded to “devote” certain things to Him, literally
to destroy them and look at Deut 13:15-18, “Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that
city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle
thereof, with the edge of the sword. 16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst
of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for
the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again. 17 And there
shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the
fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply
thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers; 18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord
thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is
right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.” Perhaps using the Hebrew word “Charam” on the
demons could be effective because it means to hand over to the Lord often by utter
destruction. See Strong’s 3089) translated destroy or “dissolve.”

Num 33:50-34:2 “And the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho,
saying, 51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye are passed over Jordan into
the land of Canaan; 52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and
destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high
places: 53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you
the land to possess it. 54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families:
and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance:
every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your
fathers ye shall inherit. 55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then
it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in
your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. 56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I
shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them. 34 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2
Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is

the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)”

Deliverance workers experiences have had in recent years, as previously indicated; we

can have wide latitude of what to do with the foe once he is defeated and caged and cast out.
They fear the abyss, which is described as full of screaming, tormented beings who all and fall
with no help possible, filled with horrible horror and loneliness. The pit and Tartarus are also
destinations which fill the enemy with fear and dread; therefore, our advice to workers to just
listen to what the Lord says and do this to the enemy.

(Jon. 2:1-6). “Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, And said, I
cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell
cried I, and thou heardest my voice. For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the
seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Then
I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters
compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about; the weeds were
wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her
bars was about me forever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my
God.”

God delivers us out of all problems when cry out to Him.

The Bible says that there was a day when the sons of God came before the Lord and Satan
came with them and the following discussion between the Lord and Satan; the Lord said, “Have
you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and
upright man?” Satan then accursed the Lord of putting a hedge about Job and all that he
owned. Satan, the accuser of the brethren said “But put forth thy hand now and touch all that
he has; he will surely curse thee to thy face”. The Lord answered, “Behold, all that he has is in
your power, only do not put forth your hand on him,” (Job 1:12).

Job testimony reveals how a supernatural being works. He never comes out on front
stage and says, “Here I am, folks; watch me do my act.” He always works in accordance with
natural laws or through individuals:

First, Sabeans attacked and took Job’s animals, (vs. 15).

Second, fire burned up the sheep and the servants (vs. 16).

Third, Chaldeans raided the camels and killed the servants, (vs. 17).

Fourth, a great wind blew the house down, (vs. 19).

 Fifth, boils covered Job’s body (vs. 2:7).

You will notice here, while some may attribute these incidents to mere natural
phenomena, it is plain that all of these “physical” and “natural” disturbances were done by a
supernatural being) Satan. 1

The Bible clearly reveals the invisible forces of Satan are released to go forth to destroy
and visibly their work is revealed through the destruction they make happen. The book of
Revelation shows first the demonic forces are released from the bottomless pit and the great
destruction on the earth begins to be carried out by the “angel in the whirlwind” and his army
of demons.

(Rev. 9:1-3), “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the
earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit;
and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the
air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts
upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”
In the fifth trumpet God loosens demon scorpion horses to string men for six months; these
horses come up out of the bottomless pit under the sea,” (Rev. 9:1-11).

DELIVERANCE MINISTRY OF JESUS

Jesus said that the works that I do, you will do also and greater, “Jesus said that the works
that I do, you will do also and greater,” (Jn. 14:12). A great percentage of Jesus’ ministry
consisted of deliverance. “And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and
cast out devils,” (Mk. 1:39). The FULL GOSPEL is a balanced Gospel which includes the ministry
of Jesus; a great percentage of Jesus’ ministry was deliverance
“He went throughout all Galilee preaching in their synagogues and casting out
demons,” (Mk. 1:39).

Jesus cast devils out.

Jesus is our example!
Jesus also, sanctified the people with his own blood.

“Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered
without the gate,” (Heb. 13:12).
Jesus defeated the Devil.

 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil,” (1 Jn.
3:8).
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself
likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power
of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their
lifetime subject to bondage,” (Heb 2:14-15).
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it,” (Col 2:15).
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven,” (Lk. 10:18).
Jesus is not going to defeat the Devil. HE HAS ALREADY DEFEATED SATAN!

THE TRUE SALVATION

Jesus once said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me” (John 14:6). His apostles preached, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for
there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts
4:12). The Bible clearly teaches that Christ alone is the Savior of the world and the world’s only
hope of salvation. Apart from Christ, “there is no Savior” (Isaiah 43:11; Hosea 13:4).

HOW TO BECOME BORN AGAIN

1. Accept God's Word that He loves you and wants to give you an abundant life.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life," Jn. 3:16. "I am come that they
might have life and that they might have it more abundantly," (Jn. 10:10).

2. Accept God's word: that you are a sinner; and this separates you from God: that you
must truly repent or "turn away" from sin.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," (Rom. 3:23). "For the wages of
sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord," (Rom. 6:23). "But
God commandeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,"
(Rom. 5:8).

3. Accept through His Word that Jesus Christ is our only contact with God.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me," (Jn. 14:6). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and
man, the man Christ Jesus."

 4. Receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by your personal invitation.

"But as many as received Him to them gave he the power to become the sons of God,"
(Jn. 1:12). "Behold I stand at the door and knock; If any man hear my voice, and open the
door, I will come into Him . . . " Christ speaking, (Rev. 3:2). Jesus wants to save you. If you are
not trusting Christ as Lord and Savior, you need Him. God's solution is salvation by grace
through faith. Make a decision. Trust God for the results.

Will you receive Christ right now? You can be saved in 30 seconds! Open the door and
pray the sinners’ prayer! Call on Jesus and to confess their sin to receive Him as Savior and Lord
and pray:

Dear Father, I'm a lost sinner. I repent. Please forgive me and come into my heart and
save me. Thank You for saving my soul in Jesus' name, Amen.

If you are a backslider, say the same prayer, the Lord loves you and will forgive you.

Scriptures that reveal the divinity of Jesus Christ, "Who is the image of the invisible
God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven,
and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all
things and by him all things consists," (Col. 1:15-17). "I and my Father are one,” (Jn. 10:30).

Scriptures that Jesus Christ took their sins on the cross. "But God, who is rich in mercy,
for His great love wherewith he loved us, Even when were dead in sins, hath quickened us
together with Christ, (By grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit
together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus," (Eph. 2:4-7; 1 Jn. 2: 30; 11 Cor. 5:21).

JESUS IS THE DELIVERER GIVES HIS POWER TO HIS BELIEVERS IN EPHESIANS CHAPTER 1

Dr. Lewis Chafer points out the “Demon influence, like their activity, is prompted by two
motives, both to hinder the purpose of God for humanity, and to extend the authority of Satan.
They therefore, at the command of their king, willingly cooperate in all his God dishonoring
undertakings. This influence is exercised both to mislead the unsaved and to wage an increasing
war against the believer,” (Eph. 6:23). 2

"To preach deliverance to the captives," (Lk. 4.18), only Jesus can give deliverance to
those who are ensnared by Satan. He freely gives His power to us to do His work. All authority
is vested in Jesus Christ, yet He has given His authority to us to overcome all the power of the
enemy.

 The name “Jesus” is the legal right of absolute authority and His power is, “Far above all
rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the
present age but also in the one to come,” (Eph. 1:21). His power is above all power.

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the
salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow
go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with
his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD,
worshiping the LORD. 19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the
children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.”
(2 Chro. 20:18, 19).

Preparing for deliverance is to come to Jesus with your whole heart. You must lay down
all your idols and confess all known sin. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,” (1Jn. 1:9).

In (Gal. 522).We are reminded. "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so
walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been
taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through
philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and
not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,” (Col. 2:6-9).

You are to break up the fallow ground, ground that has laid waste and become hard and
sow with a view to righteousness. You can clear the land through deliverance which removes
the strongholds (rocks and roots) from your life.

I Cor. 3:9), says that you are God’s field and God’s building. The children of Israel had to
possess the land to obtain their inheritance and Christian have to possess their land too.

• You also as a believer must possess your land (your body).

• You will reclaim what Jesus won for you at Calvary.
• Serve Him with a pure heart and freedom is yours.
• He has already won the battle by spoiling principalities and powers but you must take
what is rightfully yours.
• Seek him daily with your whole heart.
• Throw away all counterfeit Bible and return to the King James Version.

TO A NEW CONVERT-SALVATION

 Everyone has questions about God. What is He Like? Does He really care about me? How
do I get to know Him?

First, know that Jesus Christ is the only Redeemer, and Savior.

Where are you spiritually? Do you know Jesus? If the answer is no, then you must know
that salvation is through God's Word.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones?
This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the perils facing you, and
then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been
thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion
with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to
Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for
Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in
your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for spiritual
renewal. He will immediately forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Then, you should begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and
the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also
do so now ~ in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually
Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest
assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually. Jn. 3:16-2, -- “For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn
the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation that light is come
into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
again , he cannot see the kingdom of God,” Jn. 3:3) KJV.

 Jesus said you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless you are born of the Spirit. The
birth of the Spirit occurs when a person truly believes that Jesus is the son of God and trusts in
the finished work of Jesus on the cross to atone for their sins and to justify them before God.
We cannot judge if a person who identifies with Christianity is really trusting in Christ or in their
religion to save them. If they are trusting in their religion to save them they are no more part
of the body of Christ than a Jew or Moslem or any other religion. Christianity is a personal
relationship with Jesus. This relationship does not depend on having all the correct theology but
correct theology will result in more fruitful Christianity. 3

(Matt. 24:3-4), "While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him
privately and said, 'Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming
and of the end of the age?' Jesus answered them, 'Be careful that no misleads you (deceiving
you and leading you into error')."

I find this exchange highly instructive; the disciples asked Jesus for THE sign of His
coming and of the accompanying End of the Age. However, Jesus gave them many signs, from
verses 4-32. When a person gives a complex answer to any question, he is likely to prioritize
the answers, beginning the most important In this case, the first sign Jesus gave was to warn of
the unparalleled deception of the Christian believer The hallmark characteristic of the End of
the Age is unparalleled deception. 4

Christians and Christian churches everywhere are embracing evolution as God’s method
of creation, adapting the counseling and self-help techniques of Eastern mysticism into
“Christian” counseling, utilizing New Age music in their worship services, etc. This blurring of
two irreconcilable world views is all one-sided. The anti-Christians are not becoming more
accommodating to Christian beliefs. Rather, many Christians are rushing to endorse,
accommodate, and adopt ungodly practices and thought to their own detriment and ultimate
demise. God’s people everywhere need to be called back to the truth, indeed the Truth,
before it is too late.34

In the name of “unity,” Christians are called to unite and believe, “that all pathways lead
back to God.” Yes, we are supposed to walk in unity with our Christian brothers and sisters.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me,” (Jn. 14:6).

i“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to
reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them
that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government.
Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities,”
(2 Pet. 2:9-10).

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but
will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it,” (1 Cor 10:13).

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ,” (1 Cor. 15:5).

“For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour

(help) them that are tempted,” (Heb 2:18).

Resist the Devil. Align yourself with Jesus Christ’ invincible power, Satan
and his demons will flee from you. It’s scriptural . . . and God cannot lie!
