PRELIMINARYFLOORPLAN
SPECTRUM RECORDS
Spectrum Records, a successful and widely popular record label has made investment in a Sky Box at
the newly constructed Las Vegas Stadium. Their vision is to create a space for entertaining clients,
investors, artists, and family. While they hold stake in the newest artists and hits, they want to have
an inspirational space reflecting their rich heritage in successful and innovative artists. They hope for
any visitor, small to large, to experience the theme and lifestyle of a rockstar. The colors and lighting
should be bold, a well as being large scale, but form should follow function for their purposes.
The space is a two level shell consisting of 3600 SF of level areas with view of playing field, and an
additional 600 SF of terraced viewing platform. Design should maximize views for visitors, being this
is the main purpose of this venue. Other features needed in this space are Food Service and Drink, as
well as restrooms and human needs considerations. Other functions Spectrum hopes to achieve is
other forms of entertainment as well as a spaces to conduct informal and formal business.
As an entertainment place for celebrities, up and coming artists, fans, and family alike, Spectrums
new Skybox should exhibit the lifestyle, luxuries, and grandeur of the life of a modern Rockstar. Bold
saturated colors should complete a triad color scheme in the colors of the Las Vegas Sports Teams,
reflecting reds and greys. Care should be given to providing contrast to the vast color outside of the
skybox, while maintaining a relationship to the stadium environment which it is homed.
Special attention should be given to lighting to highlight the varying texture on each focal plane, with
metallic features highlighting and reflecting throughout the space. Art features will honor this record
labels most successful artists, inspiring the staff and upcoming artists. Sightlines will play utmost
importance, separating semi private spaces from the main entertaining spaces for game viewing and
social atmosphere.
