Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc.

(PSE:VLL) is expanding its hotel portfolio through


the development of a new hotel brand, Mella. Vista Land founder and Chairman
Manuel B. Villar said the company is set to develop four hotels in key cities.

Here are three interesting facts about Vista Lands Mella Hotels.

1. Mella Hotels will be located in Las Pias City, Boracay, Tagaytay, Daang Hari
and Bataan. VLL has allotted varied budgets for the development projects.
Villar said the Mella hotels in Las Pias will have P500 million and P600 million
budget. The hotel in Boracay will have a budget of P1 billion.

the housing [sales] income will be comparable with the leaders of the
industry, Business World reported Villar, as saying. Villar is referring to other
real estate firms SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (PSE:SMPH), Ayala Land, Inc.
(PSE:ALI), and Megaworld Corp. (PSE:MEG), which are already offering varied
real estate brands from hotels, malls, residential projects, and BPO offices.

2. The Mella Hotels will have around 150 rooms. It will cater to the middle-class
segment and should be categorized under three-to four-star quality of
accommodation and related services.
The Boracay branch of the Mella hotel will be located next to the upscale Shangri-
La Resort. The Tagaytay branch is planned to be located next to Crosswinds Swiss
Luxury Resort, which is also owned by VLL.

3. Villar said the Mella brand will make VLL a complete real estate company. It
is part of the companys vision towards 2020.
By 2020, Vista Land will be completely different and will be a complete real
estate company. There will be horizontal and vertical residential projects, hotels,
malls and BPO offices, Villar said. He added that the company intends to develop
1.3 million square meters of malls, retail stores and business process outsourcing
(BPO) commercial centers by 2018.
