This position includes taking the place of lead teachers when they are gone, and executing their
lesson plans as well as assisting lead teachers with students who are struggling behaviorally or
academically. When assisting students it may require my skill set to de-escalate potentially dangerous
situations or differentiating the lead teachers lesson in a way that, those student can understand the
material more effectively. In addition to aiding lead teachers, another responsibility is serving a student
with autism, as his one on one paraprofessional. This student requires academic structure, explicit
instructions when interacting socially, one on one tutoring and help taking preventative measures to
avoid emotional and physical outbursts.

The first responsibility of a job coach is understanding the long term career goals of the clients.
Once a job is found for that individual the Job Coach continually assesses the satisfaction of both the
client and their employer and makes adjustments whenever necessary to best ensure the clients

Volunteer English Teacher April 2015-August 2015

As an English teacher I prepared lesson plans for children ages 4-10 in order to help them learn
conversational English skills. These lesson plans were written for all of the subjects offered at their
school such as Cooking, Gym, and Art. Due to the varying abilities it was my responsibility to
differentiate lesson plans in order to meet the needs of all of the students involved in the program as
well as teaching them about American culture.

Recreational Therapy Counselor May 2014 April 2015

Some of my responsibilities included facilitating recreationally therapeutic activities for
individuals with disabilities. Our population varied in age and disability from week to week so I had to
have a knowledge and understanding of a number of different disabilities. The Physical, mental, and
emotional needs of my participants during their week-long stay at camp was included in these
responsibilities. At the end of the summer, I was re-hired onto the staff for camp Kostopulouss
community based program. This program aims to bring participants into the community to improve
social skills and increase their capacity to be more self-sufficient.
