what we have learnt in the class

Introduction:
I am from textile industry and works as an engineer. Because I am in technical
field and belongs to a technical team in industry. Its normal for our technical
team to face technical issues on the field. To solve the issues timely it is important
to identify it as soon as possible and take quick action according to that problem.

Here where the role of communication come into action not only the
communication but effective communication. If the specific problem or issue
doesnt communicate to whole team or specific member of the team who has
expertise and skills in that particular area then issue can prolong and some time
may take the form of hazardous situation. In this situation the results can range
from time wasting to tragic.

Points Taken From Study Slides:

I concentrated on the following points taken from the study slides because these
points suits more to my work environment and I thought that I can make strategy
or enhance the procedure involving following points:

Earlier warning of potential problems, from rising business costs to critical

safety issues.
Increased productivity and faster problem solving.
Conversely, when communication is ineffective, the results can range
from time wasting to tragic.

What we have done?

I was thinking that what we should do to apply brakes on normal problems

becoming potential problems and how we can make the problem solving process
quick. When we analyze the situation and cases we get to the point that the
delays in problem sorting or solving process occurs due the lake of
communication or ineffective communication or delay in communication.

Then we have decided that we should some kind of social groups where our
technical team can share their issues and remedies regarding those issues.
Group on whats app:
We made a group on whats app titled Maintenance Mafia. The group is
centralized and accessible to managers as well. In the group the team member
can share the complains which they handle the whole day and also what steps
they took to resolve the issues. From the group we get the following advantages

The work history maintain automatically in the group.

The time to acknowledge or receive the complain is reduced previously the
proper document called Work Order was issued to respective
department then the head of that department signed that work order then
the work was performed.
Now the group provides the centralized forum and managers can directly
communicate to maintenance team and can suggest them steps or
techniques to attempt specific kind of problem. This is the great advantage
we get from the group that the communication gap between the managers
and the actual work force has eliminated.
Now it is easy for the department heads to manage its team.
