8 Product Traceability
This sections describes how you use product traceability
to print information about the product on labels and
receipts.
It is primarily used for beef products but could be used
for other types of meat such as pork or for non meat
products such as fish.

Using carcass tracking

Carcass details are printed on labels for all products
associated with a carcass. The information printed on
the labels is defined by the text and data type
programmed into the carcass format. The barcode
format defines the actual messages printed.
Carcass tracking operates in prepack, counter and
receipt modes.

8.1 Counter service operation

In counter service you can scan the barcoded
information from the tray label for the product, or type in
the carcass/lot number at the keyboard, and the
machine will print it on the label or receipt.

associated with the number contains text markers, the
designated text is displayed instead of the lot number.

Category, origin and breed options, and dates are

displayed in the order in which they are set in the
barcode format. Carcass/Lot number is always
