USB drive formatted to FAT32

SD Card min.8GB Class 10 (I use SANDISK, SDHC Ultra, 16 GB, SDSDUNC-016G-GN6IN, class 10 UHS-I)
formatted to FAT32

If it matters, I always unplug USB / SD card through Safe remove option in windows.

1. DOWNLOADS
1.1. Download pack (SD card, CID and lyc files) from

1.2. Download NNGUpdateUSB from

1.3. Download JCI_NNG_Tool_v1.30 from http://uploaded.net/file/ii94x09t
1.4. Download Mazda Toolbox from https://mazda-
eu.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads

2. PATCHING CID (used files from STEP 1.2 and STEP 1.3) DONT INSERT SD CARD IN CAR
a. Copy all files from StepOneDownloadNNG to your USB drive root folder.
b. Plug in the USB drive to the car and wait for the scripts to run.
c. When finished, you will see DOWNLOAD COMPLETE. Wait a few seconds and unplug
the USB drive and the system will reboot.
NOTE:
If system doesnt reboot automatically (mine did) use following steps:
To manually restart the Infotainment System, press and hold Mute + Nav + Back on
your HMI for 10 seconds. You should see the screen go black then start loading with
the Mazda logo.
d. The NNG file (jci-linux_imx6_volans-release) will be downloaded to your USBs config
folder.
e. Copy this file over to your computer and save a copy to revert back in the future if
needed.
f. Patch a copy of the file using JCI_NNG Tool_v1.3 (STEP 1.3) and the CID (STEP 1.1)

g. Rename the patched file to jci-linux_imx6_volans-release

h. Once the NNG file is patched, delete the contents in your USB drive (Format to
FAT32) and copy over the contents from StepTwoUploadNNG to your USB drive.
i. Place the patched jci-linux_imx6_volans-release into the config folder on your USB
drive.
j. Plug the USB drive into your car to apply the tweaks
k. When finished, you will see UPLOAD COMPLETE. Wait a few seconds and unplug the
USB drive and the system will reboot. (It may skip this and just reboot).

3. PREPARING SD CARD (used files from STEP 1.1 and STEP 1.4)
a. SD card formatted to FAT32
b. Extract all files from sd eu 2016.rar (STEP 1.1) to SD Card root folder
c. Replace file
jci_mazda_feur_14q2_hm_fpa_fsp_hnr_dem_3dlm_3dc_poi_spc_ph_tts_vr_jv_lb_n
mwxgqmn45xy4vfbmc4vdw3p73.lyc (located in SD Card license folder) with file
jci_mazda_feur_14q2_hm_fpa_fsp_hnr_dem_3dlm_3dc_poi_spc_ph_tts_vr_jv_lb_n
mwxgqmn45xy4vfbmc4vdw3p73.lyc downloaded in STEP 1.1
d. Go to your car and plug in prepared SD Card
e. Try to start navigation
f. If maps are not shown, unplug SD card from Car and plug it in your PC
g. Run Mazda Toolbox (downloaded in STEP 1.4)
h. Wait until Mazda Toolbox recognize the card (I have also created new account
through Mazda Toolbox)
i. Update Navigation if necessary (I didnt have to because files from STEP 1.1 are
already updated)
j. Close Mazda Toolbox, unplug SD card
k. Plug SD card in your car and try
