Learning Area: Art houses and buildings out of cardboard nets.
- This lesson is to celebrate Naidoc Week.

As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:


Dot paint an art piece drawing inspiration from the dreamtime story.

Teachers Prior Preparation/Organisation: Provision for students at educational risk:


- Dream-time story. - Brainstorm ideas for those struggling.
- A5 black card - Have templates of animals students can copy.
- Paint - Put examples on the board of examples of dot
- News paper painting and have an example of teachers to

Activities:
- Students will then be given a piece of black card and have to design a Black paper
picture related to the story using dot painting. Paint
- Show examples of dot painting to help those students struggling for Newspaper

- At the end of the lesson students will do a gallery walk and look at
other students work.
- If students have time they can do a reflection: They will have to tell
me what their art piece is about. (Only do if there is enough time).
