Medical and Safety Proposal:

The medical and safety committee will be the ones responsible for setting up safety
guidelines in order to minimize or avoid possible injuries that are likely to occur within
this 5- day event. The people behind this committee has tried to negotiate with
barangay officials regarding for the borrowing of vehicles as a mean of transportation
should an emergency ever occur. We also sent an official request to the Philippine Red
Cross Cebu Chapter, if they could possibly help and send volunteers to serve and
protect the people involved in the event, which was also approved, there will be at least
60 Red Cross volunteers with actual experience, they will work with the barangay
officials regarding the vehicles. There are also CAT officers and Boys and Girl Scouts of
each schools that will be participating or in charge of some safety procedures including
first aiding. Doctors within the local hospital are also to be informed.

2 days before the District Meet, Medical tents will be set up respectively to the different
venues of each sports event, there will also be a list of doctors and dentists that to see
players on short notice that will be sent to the tournament office.

The following equipments will be provided by both Philippine Red Cross Cebu Chapter
organization and the schools themselves.

There will be 12 volunteers to be dispatched in every venues, and all volunteers


will be assigned by morning and afternoon shifts, the medical areas will be open
at all times to handle emergencies, all accidents involving any players or non-
players will be recorded on Incident Report Form, as well as any first aids and
treatments will be recorded on First Aid Report.
During the parade, there will be first aiders assigned at points in the line
together with the security and safety members.
