adequately progressed by the summers, followed by monsoon, when the progress is assumed
to slow down.

2.16 The given schedule for the main works would have duration of
Approximately 18 months; with substantial completion during the start of 2019. At substantial
completion the majority of works (80% of Road works and 90% of Utilities work) should be
completed.

2.1.7 Some activities shall extend beyond substantial completion. These include final
completion of works, Project closure activities, demobilization of works compounds and final
clearance of the site etc.

2.1.8 Regular Progress Reports shall be submitted to the Consultant at the decided and
agreed upon interval of time and approved format.

2.1.9 Due Precautions shall be taken by the contractor (NLC) at its own expense to ensure
health and safety of its staff and labor at all times, throughout the period of the contract.
Additionally,suitable arrangements are to be made to prevent epidemics and provisions of
necessary welfare and hygiene requirements.

2.1.10 Regular quality, progress and procedural audits and inspections will be carried out in
order to verify the standards stipulated in the contract and the progress reports. These
inspections and audits will be carried out by the relevant staff of NLC.

2.1.11 For the external visits by the consultant and/or client shall be arranged on prior request
from the concerning authority. NLC will provide all the necessary record, documentation and
facilitate any site visits by the relevant authority.

2.2. Work Sections

2.2.1 The Project comprises a number of elements which have been divided into Sections
for the purposes of planning and sequencing the works as follows:

1- Earthworks and ground leveling

2- Subgrade preparation and Embankment
3- Trenching (After subgrade preparation)
4- Pipe and ductworks of utilities, drain, sewerage and electrical.
5- Backfill, compaction and concrete works for pipes, sleeves and ducts.
6- Sub Base and Base of road
7- Tubewell and OHWT facility (to Commence after 02 months of groundbreaking).
8- Asphalt and pavement
