Classical Homeopathy the Homeopathy of Hahnemann

The term Classical Homeopathy was created by Professor George Vithoulkas in

order to distinguish the correct original science of homeopathy from the ever-increasing
modern methods and systems.

The correct original science of homeopathy follows, of course, the clear instructions of its
founder, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. From his vast experience in practice, Hahnemann
found that if a certain set of principles are followed the patient often experienced an
effective, harmless amelioration and even the cure of his symptoms.

The principles are:

Law of Similars
Correct proving of remedies
Individualising the case i.e. treating people not diseases
The single remedy at each stage of the illness
Minimum dose
Correct evaluation of the case
Laws of Cure

Prof. Vithoulkas has been following these principles of Hahnemann and, after over fifty
years of treating and observing hundreds of thousands of cases from all around the world,
has added further clarification to the genius of Hahnemann.
As a result of his huge empirical effort, Prof. Vithoulkas has introduced the Levels of
Health which act as a guide for the serious homeopathic prescriber through the patients
process of successful treatment. The Levels of Health is an important aid in order to
master the challenging art and science of the practice of homeopathy.
