Learning Objective 5.2 The student will investigate and understand how sound
is created and transmitted, and how it is used. Key concepts
include
a) compression waves;
b) vibration, compression, wavelength, frequency,
amplitude;
c) the ability of different media (solids, liquids, and gases)
Content

to transmit sound; and

d) uses and applications of sound waves.

Activity The teacher will create a follow along worksheet for each
student to fill as the activity progresses. This worksheet will
serve as notes on the lesson. The teacher will also create
popsicle sticks with each students name on it to be drawn
randomly. This is how each student will receive a turn to interact
with the activities on the whiteboard.

Each students name will be drawn randomly and placed to the

side to ensure one student is called more than once. The
student called will come up to the board and interact with the
activity displayed.

When an answer is filled out the student will be required to read

aloud their answer to the class to ensure everyone is able to
read and understand it. Each student will see it, write it, and
hear it.

At the end of the activity, the worksheets will be turned in to be

checked off to ensure each student followed along in the
activity.
Pedagogy

The teacher will then hand them back to be hole punched and
kept in the binder for review on any tests.
