Washingoftextilematerial
InsteadofEDTAandpolyphosphates,SeraQuestC-PXisusedassequestering
agentinwashingprocesses.
Theuseofthisproductinwashingandbleachingofgoodswhichcontain
difficulttoremovesizingproducts,e.g.mixturesofpolyvinylalcoholand
acrylatesisofparticularadvantage.Ofteninwettreatmentsuchsizemixtures
formdifficulttodissolvegelstructureswhicharedissolvedbySeraQuestC-PX.
Typicaluseamount:
0.3-1.0 g/l SeraQuestC-PX

Bleaching
DuetoitsstrongcomplexingeffectSeraQuestC-PXisverysuitablefor
prescouring.Theproductenhancesdissolutionofpectins,sizesanddisperses
soil.
Fabricsaresometimesbleachedwithoutrinsingstagesafterdesizing.Inthiscase
theadditionof1.0-2.0g/lSeraQuestC-PXisrecommendedtothedesizing
bathtopreventheavymetalcontaminationcarry-overtobleaching.Asa
peroxidestabiliserSeraQuestC-PXisonlyrecommendedincertaincases,e.g.in
cold-pad-batchbleaching.Inpaddingsuchbathformulationsongreigecotton
fabricsizedwithstarch/acrylateblends,increasedviscosityofthebleachingbath
frequentlyoccurs.Thisisduetothedissolutionofsizeandreducespenetration
andpick-up.

printsresults.Thefabricsobtainasofthandle.Insomeinstancesitispossibleto
decreasethewashingtime.

Dyeingofpolyester
Inadditiontoitsgoodsequestratinganddispersingability,SeraQuestC-PX
providesastrongbufferingcapabilityagainstchangesindyebathpH.This
productiscompletelystableagainsthydrolysisandthereforethepHofthe
dyebathremainsstableeveninprolongedHTdyeingprocesses.Thegood
dispersingabilityimprovesthecrockingfastness.

Thedyebathissetwith2.0-3.0g/lofthisstocksolution.
Whendyeingpolyester/cottonblends,SeraQuestC-PXreducesstainingof
cottonwithdispersedyestuffs.Ifthecottonpartisdyedwithdirectorreactive
dyesintermediatescouringfrequentlymaybeomitted.Theresultisasignificant
savingoftime.NotrecommendedforCu-containingreactiveanddirectdyes.

Dyeingofpolyester/woolandpurewool
Additionof0.2-0.5g/lSeraQuestC-PXpreventswarpstripesandtendencyto
spotting,thecrockingfastnessisimproved.Theshadesappearclearerand
cleaner,especiallywhenusingdyessensitivetowaterhardnessandmetalions.
SeraQuestC-PXbuffersthepHvalueandstabilisesthedyebath.Incompletely
removedsizesandspinningpreparationsaredissolvedordispersed.Alsothe
dispersionofDianixdyesisimprovedandbettercrockingfastnessandlessstain
onthewoolareobtained.
SeraQuestC-PXinthisregardhasbetterpropertiesthanphosphatesofEDTA
andthereforeispreferred.

DyeingwithIndanthrendyestuffs
Theadditionof0.5g/lSeraQuestC-PXindyeingwithIndanthrendyestuff
stabilisestheleucovat.Thedyestuffdissolvesbetterandthedyebathshowsless
scumming.Brightandcrockfastdyeingsresult.
SeraQuestC-PXshouldbeaddedtothebathasthefirstproduct.Thisprevents
precipitationsduetowaterhardnesswhenaddingcausticsoda.

Repairofunevenorspotteddyeings
ByusingSeraQuestC-PX,spotsmaybedispersed.Thisproductimprovesthe
actionofdispersingagents,levellingagentsandcarriers.Resultsareimproved
andoftenthetimeoftreatmentmaybeshortened.
Use
0.5-1.0 g/l SeraQuestC-PX
Inverydifficultcaseshigheramountsmaybeused.
