T HE N INE [*] S INS ( TO AVOID )

S T U P I D I TY
- lack of intelligence, understanding, reason, wit, or sense.
- "Do not accept stupidity." You must try not to be stupid by equipping yourself with knowledge and in the
event you do something stupid, learn from it so you will not do it again.

P R E T E NT I O U S N E S S
- taking credit for things you are undeserving of.

S OL I PS I S M
- believing that the ONLY real truth is that which you believe. A basic example of this would be expecting
people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you give them just because you
treat them that way. A truth of this person would be that he/she treats people with consideration,
courtesy and respect. If this person believes that other people will treat him/her the same because he/she
does, this person is believing that their truth is true for others.
- This also refers to the denial of truths outside of one’s mind. Solipsism is the philosophical idea that only
one's own mind is sure to exist. This is based on the idea that you cannot know for sure any fact about
anyone because each individual’s personal experiences only reside with the person who had them. So,
unless their experience was also your own, you cannot know for sure that fact about that person.

S E LF - D E C E I T

C O U NT E R P RO D U C T I V E P R I D E
- Being too proud such that it negatively impacts your life and does not help gain anything. Counter-
productive pride leads to self destruction.

the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
