Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
The teacher will introduce the SRT activity by having the quiz on the board and ask the students to take out
their device to complete the quiz. The teacher will start this activity by using the quiz or SRT to introduce the
lesson. This will help the teacher know if the students have any prior knowledge to the lesson. This will also
help the teacher know what to go over during the lesson and who to help.

Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
Assess prior knowledge Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) To illuminate common
misconceptions Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) Summative assessment of content knowledge Test preparation

complete the quiz. The teacher will be on the computer and direct the questions. The materials needed are a

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

Yes No
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)

Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not?
I will have the answers show because then it starts the discussion of the topic. This way the students will
learn the material after taking a quiz. Some of the question, short answer, will not have a correct response
included because that is more for the teacher to see if the student understands the material.

Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?

After the SRT activity, the teacher will discuss the questions and if any of the students have questions we will
go over their questions. The teacher will also can talk to the individual students if it seems like they are not
getting the information.

How will the data be used?

The data being collected will be the students responses. This allows the teacher to print off individualized
quizzes and go over with parents of the student. This can be used as a homework grade for students. This will
also help the teacher differentiate lessons for all the students. ELL students may have a harder time doing this
activity but with the help of others they may be able to understand the questions. The teacher can use the
information to help talk to individual students. SRT help the teacher see the progress the students make
during the school year. It helps them better understand the students and helps them talk to the parents.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.

This activity made me learn how to create my own quizzes and learning how to use technology in the
classroom. This helps the teacher not use a lot of paper and helps them understand their students a lot
better. I will hope that my students will learn the lesson better because they will have the quiz first and then
have a quiz at the end of the lesson.
