Children or progeny are considered one of the most important
parts of human lives from the beginning of time. Is it possible to

signify matters related to our future progeny. This is how
astrologers look for children in Vedic Astrology. This is not an all
inclusive list about children, but summarizes the concept of
looking for progeny in horoscopes quite efficiently.

Following important combinations in a horoscope indicate good
children in a persons life.

1. Jupiter and the lord of the 5th house when counted from the
Ascendant as well as Moon should be well placed in the
horoscope.

2.The 5th house should have conjunctions or aspects of benefics

or atleast it should be free from malefic aspects and conjunctions.

3. If the Ascendant lord and the lord of the 5th house are
together,or have mutual aspects or have exchanged houses then
the native will be blessed with good children.

4. If the lords of the 4th and 9th houses are benefics and if they
aspect the 5th house while the 5th house itself is devoid of any
aspect from the 6th,8th or the 12th lords then it indicates good
progeny in future.

1. If there are malefics or malefic aspects in the 5th house
counted from the Ascendant, the Moon and the Jupiter and if they
are lacking any benefic aspects (except on the 5th house from
Jupiter) or conjunctions then it will be very difficult or almost
impossible to get children.

2.If the Sun is placed in the 5th house, Saturn in the 8th and the
Mars in the Ascendant then the child will be born very late in life
and the child born might have a very difficult life.

3. If the lord of the 5th house is debilitated or is in an inimical sign

or is in conjunction with or receiving aspects from the lords of
6th,8th and 12th houses then the native might remain childless.

4. If the lord of the 5th house from the Ascendant,Moon and

Jupiter is placed in the 6th,8th or 12th houses(Dusthana) from the
Ascendant then the native might be childless.
5.If a benefic owns the 5th house and is placed in that house with
an another malefic planet then the native might be blessed with a
child but the child might not live for long.

placed in the 5th house, Saturn in the 8th and the Mars in the

in the 12th house and if the 5th house is a Taurus,Leo,Virgo or
Scorpio Sign.

3.If Moon is in the 11th house, a malefic planet in the 5th house
from Jupiter and the Ascendant occupied by several planets.
