On November 18, 2017 the Madison Police Department responded

to four reported auto burglaries at a local park within the

city. Officers learned that windows had been broken and purses

were taken from the vehicles. Investigators, with the

assistance of the Ridgeland Police Department and the Flowood

Police Department, developed a description and tag number for

the vehicle that the suspects were traveling in.

On November 28, 2017 local agencies began receiving reports of

bank checks taken from the burglaries being cashed at local

banks using the identities of other victims from the

burglaries.

On November 30, 2017 officers of the Madison Police Department

located the suspect vehicle and arrested Kendarius D. Hope (29

yoa from Fort Lauderdale, FL) Trayvon A. Key (20 yoa from Dania

Beach, FL), Milik B. Hope (18 yoa from West Park, FL) and

Clifton O. Robinson (28 yoa from Plantation, FL). The four

suspects were taken into custody on initial charges of

possession of drug paraphernalia.

 Investigators developed additional information leading to

Clifton Robinson and Milik Hope being charged with four counts

of burglary of an automobile. Kendarius Hope and Trayvon Key

were charged with four counts of accessory after the fact to

automobile burglary. Additionally, all four suspects are being

charged with conspiracy to commit the crime of uttering

forgery.

The suspects are also under investigation for crimes committed

in other local jurisdictions. Additional charges are anticipated

as well as the arrest of additional suspects. The suspects are

being held at the Madison County Detention Center awaiting an

initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
