January 2015 UIC International/Tutorium in Intensive English, Chicago, IL


to present Visiting Lecturer
Teach and contribute to developing an English for Academic Purposes
academic skills class as well as two levels of Live, Learn, and Growa one-
year series of courses meant to prepare incoming international students for a
successful undergraduate career at UIC (12 hours/week, 16 weeks).
Taught high-intermediate Listening/Speaking in an Intensive English program
(10 hour/week, 13 weeks).
Developed and taught a three-week course on American culture and the field of
TESOL for a group of EFL university instructors from China (8 hours/week).
Create supplementary course materials, including PowerPoint slides, webpages,
grammar worksheets and communicative activities.
Administer formative and summative assessments, give feedback on oral
presentations and speaking exams.
Interpret absent instructors lesson plans and meet learning objectives when
