PRESS RELEASE MAHKOTA MEDICAL CENTER PROTECTS NEWBORNS

WITH RFID

07.07.2011, Kuala Lumpur: E-Health2u Sdn. Bhd, the Malaysian leader for RFID Security
Solutions in Healthcare published today the 9 month experience of the first infant security
system in Malaysia.

The Liberty Baby Watch system from Swiss partner ER Systems SA,
part of the IDENTEC GROUP, has been successfully implemented in the
Mahkota Medical Centre in Melaka end of 2010 to ensure the security of
newborns in the maternity ward. Babies are equipped with fully
supervised and tamper proof RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
bracelets that uniquely identify each of them. When a malicious person
attempts to abduct a baby, an alert will be triggered at the nurse station,
enabling security staff to take immediate action.

Mr. Timothy Chang, CEO of the Mahkota Medical Centre explains:

Our hospital aspires to be a place of choice with a passion for care
and excellence. This includes security and safety for our patients and so
we chose to implement the Liberty infant security system in order to
provide peace of mind for the parents inside our facility. Our 9 month
experience with the system shows us that this additional service is well
accepted by the parents and staff. The solution is working smoothly and
E-Health2u is very professional in answering our questions and special
needs. We are very proud to be the first hospital in Malaysia to have
successfully implemented such a system!

Some parents even challenged the security of the hospital, by

simulating abduction with their own babies. Sister Yeo, in
charge of the maternity wards cites this story: The father of
a newborn took his baby out of the ward, just to see what
happens. The nurse station was notified of the event by an
alarm within seconds and the maternity staff could take
action immediately at the right location. The father was very
impressed and thanked the nurses for their vigilance.

Liberty Baby Watch is hospital approved (EN60601 safety norm) and special care has been
taken that the solution is optimal for newborns. The latex-free and waterproof bracelet can be
adjusted to the babys ankle. This is especially important as infant loose weight in the first
hours of their lives. Moreover, the round corners of the device ensure the baby skin is not
scratched.

A very creative business model has been proposed to the hospital, ensuring
minimal financial effort and work to implement the solution says Ashley
Wilhelm-Pang, CEO of E-Health2u. The idea is to supply an all-inclusive
package including consumables and maintenance in order to let the hospital
personnel concentrate on patient care. The business model has been
intensively discussed with Malaysian and international customers and fits
100% of their needs.

Additional features like mother-baby matching, asset tracking or VIP
portable nurse call are also available and can be implemented on the
same infrastructure explains Tobias Britz, CEO of ER Systems SA, the
Swiss company that provided the concept. This allows future extension
of the system and avoids duplication of vendors for wireless security
inside the premise. Mr. Britz adds: Weve trained E-Health2u to
install and maintain our solutions according to our Swiss high quality
standards and I must say, Im impressed by the professionalism of their team in KL.

Since October 2010, Liberty Baby Watch is used every day by the Mahkota Medical Centre
to protect smiling newborns.
