Introduction
A big project involves overseeing a lot of moving parts,
oftentimes from different people. To have a successful
rollout, project managers rely on a well-crafted project
plan to ensure objectives are met on time and on budget.
A project plan is a formal approved document which is
used to define project goals, outline the project scope,
monitor deliverables, and mitigate risks.

It must answer basic questions like what is the purpose of

the project, what activities are involved, who will be
responsible for what, and when is it
expected to be completed? It is not to be confused with
the Gantt chart, which shows project deliverables against
the timeline. The said chart is only one part
of the project plan.

Objective
- To understand about
Momentum.
- To be able to calculate
Momentum.
- To know what are the
differences between Inelastic
collision and Elastic collision.
- To demonstrate the use of
physics and mathematical in
order to create this experiment.
- To demonstrate the Law of
Conservation of Momentum

1. LOW FRICTION
VERNIER TRACK 2. VERNIER CART

3. MASS SCALE 4. STOP WATCH

PROCEDURE

1. SET UP THE VERNIER CART RAIL. MAKE IT

BALANCED IN BOTH SIDE BY PLACE A VERNIER
CART ON IT. THEN, LOOK AT IT IF IT MOVE OR
NOT

2. PLACE ONE VERNIER CART ON SOME POINT

ON THE RAIL. FOR EXAMPLE, 60CM.

3. ONE PERSON MARK THE POINT THAT IS

20CM LATER ON THE CART.

4. ANOTHER PERSON
Add a littlePREPARE
bit of bodyTO
textRECORD THE
TIME BY USING STOPWATCH.

5. ANOTHER PERSON PUSH ANOTHER CART WHICH HAS

TO BE MORE THAN 20CM BEFORE THE CART THAT IS
PLACED ON THE RAIL.

6. THE TIME RECORDER RECORD THE TIME

- FIRST LAP : WHEN THE PUSHED CART IS ON THE 20CM
POINT BEFORE THE PLACED CART.
- SECOND LAP : AFTER THE PUSHED CART HIT THE PLACED
CART AND PASSED 20 CM POINT THAT MARKED IN THE 3
PROCEDURE.

7. WEIGHT THE MASS OF THE BOTH CARTS (PLACED CART

AND PUSHED CART)

8. RECORD THE TIME TAKEN AND RESULT

Elastic Collision:
V2o = = 52.63 cm/s
V1f = = 54.54 cm/s
Mbefore = m1V1o + m2V2o =
27183.92 gcm/s
Mafter = m1V1f + m2V2f = 28028.11

% difference = x 100 = 3.05%

Collision Type Distance Time

Inelastic Collision 20 cm 0.45 s
40 cm 0.93 s

Elastic Collision 20 cm 0.38 s

40 cm 0.37 s
Analysis
There are a few percentage different in this
experiment, 4.6% on an Inelastic collision and 3.05%
on elastic collision, which is affected by human error
which is when the time has been recorded, the object
might have moved for a distance. Some friction of the
railway which might not be completely frictionless also
is a cause of it too.Add a little bit of body text.

Conclusion
For both elastic and nonelastic collision, the
momentum is conserved. The only different is that
in the elastic collision the mass and velocity is
calculated separately while in the inelastic collision,
the mass is the sum of two masses and the
velocity is the same because the system is
counted as one.
Recommendation
For the next time, the that we want to
improve is human error because when the
cart is move past through the 20cm and 40
cm point. The person who stop watch can
easily to make a mistake because he has to
see when the chart is touch the line and
stop watch immediately but it's still be an
error because it's not accurate.
