ROBERT ROCAFUERTE ALVARADO

Mahatma Gandhi
There was something about him that won the hearts of everyone, people
did not even know where it was India but there was something about him
that affected them. He was a man of many white hair, had a great sense of
humor, while sometimes seemed disrespectful, sometimes seemed
malicious.
He had the uncanny ability to speak before a large crowd, he was the
inspiration for many generations.
Gandhi felt that nonviolence requires a very strong conviction and the
biggest obstacle to this is leisure.
Rebel for a just cause he would say, yes we will go to jail vows to God that
we will go to jail and will stay until they withdraw this law, he was a
martyr willing to die for their country.
As a lawyer he believed if we changed the law we changed human
behavior, only to dominate their own desires, Gandhi decided it was the
best way to serve humanity.
Faced with brutal attacks by the police, he first realized that when the
human heart is closed is impossible to develop the mind.
The purpose of nonviolence was as old as human philosophy, Gandhi
sought to apply this ideal concrete political situations, he felt that to
implement nonviolence first thing they had to do was to possess the spirit
of mutual reconciliation and develop your own mind, without it how you
could support nonviolence ?.
Gandhi showed that willpower could overcome brute force, he said when
we learn to reveal to ourselves we have become so dependent people
have to learn to reveal even against ourselves.
Gandhi was the greatest pioneer of nonviolence in India and left us a
legacy and teaching the use of reason, communion between brothers, to
put aside all our differences and live together as brothers and not letting
oppress us rather fighting for our rights while respecting our fellow man
and not paying evil for evil.
