Team Members: Alexandria Raessner, Huy Le, Alexis Cortez, & Tracy Mae De Vera
Mission:
The iFixit Ralph teams objective is to provide written instructions for repairing a Samsung
Chromebook XE500C21-A03US in support of reducing the amount of electrical waste and
supporting a friendly environment. There will be an accurate and descriptive set of instructions
on how to repair a broken component of the computer, that will be easy to read for appropriate
ages of the public. Our job will be to break the computer down as a team and create new and
efficient ways to fix the main component. Huy, our designated photographer will photograph the
elements of the computer demonstrating the next required step, creating a more focused and
helpful experience for the global viewers. Our research managers, Huy and Alexis, will lead the
team in the production process of the manual, finding efficient solutions. The editor, Tracy Mae,
will organize the guide and make it appropriate to a technical standard. The project manager,
Alexandria, will take charge of the project, review teams work for submission, communicate
with the team in a timely fashion and assist in the all other areas of the project.
Expectations:
Everyones voice is heard in all group decisions.
Everyone is accountable to complete their duties as stated in the mission statement.
Everyone has to complete duties on time, preferably a day or two before the due date.
Everyone is responsible to check group chat/messages every day and respond within 24
hours.
Everyone must communicate all progress, questions, and problems to the group.
Everyone will learn different technical writing skills to improve rhetoric.
Resolving Conflicts:
If a member of the group fails to meet any requirements, the following actions will take place:
The Project Manager will text message the team to set up a meeting.
The team will hold a meeting to discuss the work that has not been finished.
The work will be dispersed between the remaining members of the group. (Wolfe, 2009).
The team will be willing to forgive the member that failed to meet the requirements.
(Segal & Smith, 2017).
Firing Clause:
1. Failure to communicate with team members. (First strike)
2. Inability to follow his/her responsibilities in regards to the team. (Second strike)
3. Discuss the continuing situation with the Professor. (Third Strike)
4. Once a member receives three strikes, the member is to be removed from the group.
